Canon CanoScan LiDE 110 Flatbed Scanner

I had to download the software and it took me a bit of time (I should have gone straight to the Canon web site, which had everything needed) but when I did and started using the scanner, it was easy, and actually much faster than I thought!

Why I chose this scanner

I already have a printer scanner but wanted something light to go with a laptop to give demos at our photo club. It doesn't need a separate power connection as it gets this thro the USB lead from the laptop, something less to carry around. It worked ok but the lead was very loose, obviously worn, and kept falling out at the scanner end so I sent for another off e bay for £1.74 and that's now fine. The colours are a bit light but these can be adjusted with sliders in a software window, a smoother affect can be achieved by upping the resolution, try it and see if it works for you. I'm on windows 10 and work in Photoshop Elements 12 which recognises the scanner.Read full review

perfectly good enough

It's very sleek and slender, making it easy to put away in a drawer, which is a big plus for me. It scans well, which is what a scanner should do anyway.
A nice piece of design, feels good to handle. Can't say about reliability yet, obviously.Read full review
