My 2nd One

This is my second printer of the same model as I managed to break my old one which was totally my fault. For the price and print quality there is nothing else out there and I have lots of spare ink and another brand new print head so it made sense to by another before it is discontinued. Only small problem, I tried the wireless setup method but couldn’t get it to find my WiFi, so plugged in a USB cable and did it this way. Now works perfectly on wireless. I use First Call Inks cartridges in this printer and have done in others for several years now. They are reasonably priced and produce good print quality. Not had any clogging up ever.Read full review

Has good potential

Not enough advice on set up problems. Took me three days to figure out the problems. Trouble shooting info could have been more specific ! Early indications are that the print quality is likely to be very good, but it is early days and I am having difficulty getting a true reproduction of the image on my computer screen colourwise. Could be down to my inexperience of interpreting the various controls. Time will tell !Read full review

Excellent print quality can print a3 does have a few niggles

I had this model before and it lasted 4 years till i got the dreaded b200 fault, meaning printhead failed, but there a 50 percent chance that replacing the print head wont solve it. So bought a new identical model, i use the printer for various printing, photos, a4 printing and the fact is that it does a3 printing is a bonus.
I looked at cannon other a3 photo printers but they were too expensive to run.
The printer has a grey ink cartridge as well as a additional black cartridge.
If u print out black and white photos the grey cartridge helps with the print quality.
I prefer if cannon have a dedicated photo paper setting to take advantage like ilford photo paper but it uses a generic glossy matt setting..
Also i have to turn the paper over if u want to print the otherside so its auto duplex.
It prints cds as well and photo pictures are stunning.
Its good for day to day running u can print out letters as it does have a larger black cartridge.
U can print from smartphones but u gave to set up the wifi and run a canon printer app but i find its clunky the software doesnt show the ink levels on the phone.

Much better than expected...

Bought this printer as a gamble as I did not want to fork out for top of range photo printer.
Was I surprised, as good as top end model at fraction of cost.
Under a magnifying glass and being fussy there may be minor difference.
But I can't see difference at normal viewing distances.
Recommend this machine.

If you want quality on a budget this printer is it!

Direct replacement for the Epson R2400, so I was wasn't expecting as good as results. To say the least, I was totally surprised by the output.

Took roughly 20-25minutes to set up and install software, went through all the initial calibration tests etc., and then decided to quickly do a test print on a photo I took a while ago.

Loaded up lightroom, selected the photo, adjusted its positioning with a nice wide border for printing on a supplied sample sheet of A4 Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II and selected 'print'

Within less than 2mins printing all at High Quality settings the print was complete and in comparison with the photo I had printed on the Epson R2400 a while ago the IP8750 version looked sharper, more accurate in colour and a fantastic overall finish.

The Canon Pixma IP8750 is a dedicated photographers printer I highly recommend.

Good budget printer

I wanted a quality printer able to print black and white images. This does that very well. Colour is no problem. All sorts of paper have been used including some art paper I had, does the job superbly. Read full review
