Callow Retail Outdoor Smoker Cooker Oven Fish 2 Burners Regulator Lid Very Easy

Excellent small smoking oven for fish or meat.

I had been looking for a small smoker for fish for some time, but was very pleased to find this product in a Nauticalia catalogue. I have smoked fish for many years overseas where I lived by the sea for forty years. The problems with the smokers I was able to obtain were that they corroded quickly due to being made out of galvanised iron. The products of fish smoking are quite a challenge to deal with! However this unit is made out of good quality stainless steel, and I have found it very easy to clean on every occasion.

It smokes the product evenly, and has a clever baffle plate to fit over the sawdust or shavings, so they do not get on the fish ever. The excellent adjustable grills are well made and the whole thing is a pleasure to use.

Portable and effective

This was produced to help create great home-made pastrami and it exactly that. The lid s tight enough fitting that the smoke flavour went deep into the meat and it part-cooked it at the same time (I finished it in my Instant Pot pressure cooker (my other amazing purchase recently).
The only minor irritation is not knowing how long the burners work for, it seemed that fully open it was something less than 20 minutes, half closed it was something less than 40 mins. Fully closed they went out in the wind (despite sitting the smoker on my barbecue in a closed small garden.
The 3 options of level of cooking, the drip tray, and the well for the woodchips all combine to make this an amazing value for money purchase. If you want a great smoke taste to your meats this is a winner.Read full review
