I have always used Calgon in my washing machine, it is 15 years old and still working perfectly.

This supplier was unable or unwilling to give details of the courier who said the product was ‘lost’ in transit but still advertising a lesser quantity of the product than I ordered. I cannot understand why the lesser quantity was not sent as a replacement with an adjustment to the cost.
This is the second time a product has been so called ’lost’ in transit from E-Bay with the easy solution of a credit be issued.
I am now getting very weary of buying through E-Bay or even looking on E-Bay.Read full review

Good value comparatively
Product difficult to assess as I cannot see inside my washing machine to see how well they are keeping the limescale under control. However these are a usable price when bought 75 at a time as one used per wash. Read full review

Washing Mashine's last Longer with Calgon!
I've been using Calgon Tablets for over 4 years. Using 1 tablet in every wash definetly makes a diffferent.
It helps my washing machine, get rid of that build up of grim. I also use the liqiud gel.
It's worth buying as it helps look after my waahing machine.
Along with also cleaning your filter every other week.

Necessary in hard water areas.
Calgon is recommended by many washing machine manufactures to protect appliances from the effects of lime scale and prolong the life of the machine.
Whilst it should be possible to achieve similar effects by increasing the dose of washing powder used - it is much easier to simply use one calgon tablet every wash. Buying the tablets in bulk through EBay is cheaper than at the supermarket. I live in a hard water area and whilst my household taps show a build up of limescale I am confident that by using Calgon I am protecting my washing machine.
