There are three settings. The first is bright enough for most things, the second is very bright and the third is flashing, which is a bit annoying to other people nearby (but you have to go through all three settings to switch it off).
The batteries were a surprise as they are bigger than AA batteries (longer and a little wider).
Angle Adjustment is fine but Beam Focussing is a little tricky as you need to pull out the beam to focus and at first there's not much of the beam to get your fingers around.Read full review

Cree rechargeable head torch

I bought this with a hope that it would be good,as compared to other head torches it was very well priced.

I have found it to be excellent, with three light settings, high, low and flashing.>
I have used it for garage work and bike maintenance as well as outdoor night use and it has behaved faultlessly.

What would be better? It could be a tad lighter and the elastic straps could be longer, but overall for the price it is excellent and fully deserves its five stars!Read full review

I prefer to walk 'hands free' and this Head Torch is ideal. I have also used it to work in the loft and have been able to use both hands to do the work with the light exactly where I want it to be. Being rechargeable makes all the difference and saves lots of money on expensive batteries.
