A whole lot than what I expected

Having lost a baby before at 36 weeks in to the pregnancy, this hart beat monitor was super useful, the quality of the product really amazed me. It was super easy to use and it really helped us to keep track of our baby's heart beat and gave us a lot of peace of mind knowing that we could hear our baby's heart at any time with out having the anxiety of having to wait to go to the OBG or the ER for that and we did have to go to the ER every time we were concerned.Read full review

So I bought this for my grandma as she is on an income and she needs to keep checking herself. I was a little hesitant because of the price but looking at the reviews I decided to give it a try. I received it today and decided to use it on myself first to see how it works. As I turned it on and placed it on my finger you see the EKG look alike on the bottom of the screen and the oxygen and BPM on the rope of the screen. I was checking my pulse to see if it was the same and not just some programmed screen that looks like it was doing its job and I was amazed it actually was my pulse. Seems sturdy and readings appear reliable. Hard to find under circumstances and needed for parent after hospital stay. Chose this because it had a brand on it that I was able to search. Not sure how price compares to item during “normal” times, but in line with similar items (most listed as “unbranded”). Depending on the money I paid, I would say it is good. I was wrong to buy it on the price criterion. With 5-10 euros more I could buy something better. Once it lights up, it immediately shows the readings, but I have to wait at least one minute to stabilize to show the actual saturation and pulse numbers.

If quality means solid construction and durability I would say it is good. But if good quality means exact clues... I have my doubts because I have no way to compare it.Read full review
