Not Cheap But Worth The Price
Have read many articles and reviews about DeoxIT Fader Lube and how application can restore working function to non-working and noisy volume POTS. It Works As Advertised! More than paid for itself in one use. Was able to save $100 pair of Klipsch computer speakers. Prior to application, volume POTS was extremely noisy and worse, left and right channels would constantly drop out. Happy to report two weeks after application, speakers, volume and left+right channels all working as new. Hopefully as other users have noted, POTS will continue working for a long time without needing another DeoxIT application anytime soon.Read full review

Great product...But use with care!
Really good stuff...if you use the line of DeOxit cleaning supplies for their intended purpose. For example, DO NOT use red D5 on volume potentiometers (or any potentiometers for that matter) that have carbon based wiper tracks. You'll end up destroying them...it eats up the carbon. The red D5 is fantastic for switches and contact controls (push in button switches) but no potentiometers. Use the fader lube for those. If the potentiometer is so far gone that the fader lube will not correct the problem, then you have to disassemble it and clean it that way.Read full review

DeoxIT products are well known; this particular product is excellent in cleaning open contacts that need extra TLS. This will solve most problems especially when the pod must be taken apart and cleaned to remove stubborn tarnish that spraying cannot do. Read full review
