Pro: Pick up sound really well. There is a switch so you can use the mic on either smartphone or camera (TRRS or TRS). Cable is very very long. Comes with Vavalier clip, Foam cover, battery for the switch, no dead cat.

The sound quality is the same as speaking directly into an iPhone BUT realistically when filming, your phone would probably be to your side so that’s when the Boya mic comes in handy at picking your voice even from a distance. The mic clip breaks easily.

Attached the mic to the collar clip. Snapped when I tried to remove it. The rest are alright. Just not wise to use acrylic for the mic catch. They break easily.
