Older model Bose performs like new! Excellent sound and features.
Excellent sound from a compact unit. Bose does it again. Love the easy access CD player right on top. Presets are a godsend. No need to turn on, then choose. Just touch one button and you're in business listening to your favorite station.Read full review
ok but
The sound quality is good but not that great> I have other stereos that sound just as good for half the price. It does sound good outside of the room it is in. I hate that the volume rises automatically with the alarm feature. Read full review

All features work beautifully
What I have always wanted, can't tell it from brand new! Seller even supplied new batteries in the remote and for the clock. Sound is astounding, not a mark on the unit. Love the intuitive buttons, easy instruction booklet.Read full review

The Little White Bose
I ordered this Bose for the kitchen. We have the larger Bose Wave Radio in the living room, and the smaller one just seemed like a good fit. With this particular one, the cd player does not always work. Oh, well, when used only as a radio, it is exactly what I wanted. Read full review

Expensive but worth every penny!
The sound of the Wave is excellent by any objective standard. No, it does not sound like a system with a receiver and separate speakers strategically placed for optimal stereo separation. If you want that, that's what you need to buy. But for a very small one-piece with a clock, the sound is outstanding.
The controls on the remote are very intuitive and clearly marked, without the usual crowded and confusing array of buttons, most of which you'll never use. Setting up the Wave consists of getting it out of the box, plugging it in, setting the time, and turning it on. You can also connect an external audio source using a mini-jack input on the back of the Wave. I have an iPod connected to the Wave using the mini-jack, and the sound is just as good as the FM.
Some reviewers have also complained about the lack of tone controls. You definitely should listen to the Wave before buying one, and if you do not like the sound, don't buy it. If you do like the sound, you will not want to adjust the tone. If you cannot listen to your music without constantly adjusting the tone, do not buy the Wave.
The things I like most about the Wave besides the sound quality are the design and the ease of use. The remote and the display are simple and logical, the way they should be. The user's guide is thorough, direct, and concise, and you won't need to keep referring to it. The focus here is not on pushing a lot of buttons, it's on listening to the music. The Wave has the features most people will want, without a lot of extras that very few people would ever use. The Wave is small and will fit just about anywhere you want to put it, without drawing attention to itself. For me, it was worth every penny.Read full review

Very pleased with this classic Bose Wave AM/FM radio DC player!
I wanted the original model because playing a CD in the subsequent & current models requires you to slip the CD in through a slot on the front rather than simply flipping up the lid on top; I think it will be easier to repair, if necessary, the CD player component on this top-loading model. I also like the fact that you don't have to use the remote control to operate the this model, so when the remote control's battery dies, you still can enjoy this Bose Wave before replacing the battery. I live in a brick NYC apartment building, but am getting great reception in my bedroom on both the AM and FM bands. And the sound is definitely superior to the cheaper SONY clock radio-CD player that was in my bedroom.
The unit I received from bestpick2717 was in absolutely pristine condition, so if you see that he has the Bose Wave model you want, don't hesitate to make the purchase from him!Read full review

Great Bose Radio
Exactly what I wanted. It barely shows that it was used. It works perfectly and I just love having the radio on at certain times. Great sound, clear and easy to use. Not too technologically complicated!

Love my Bose
Have been looking to purchase a Bose for quite a long time, but always passed it by because of price. Well this was affordable and sounds like it is brand new
Lives Up To Its Reputation
This radio's greatest asset is exactly the reason I purchased it in the first place; the sound. I have a small home office and need a radio/cd player which sounds really great whether I'm listening to classical, oldies, big band, or ancient Chinese instrumental music. The Bose Wave fills the bill in all categories. Most impressive is its ability to deliver solid bass even at very low volume. All of its functions are very easy to understand and access, and the fact that an external antenna can be attached with little difficulty also played an important part in my decision to make this purchase since I live in an area of limited FM reception. In my opinion this is an excellent radio/cd player combo.Read full review
