it's a good product but can't tell the difference with it an the built in TV speakers. Would be good for lower quality tvs or a smaller room. I've got ours in our living room.

Does what it says it will. No volume bar on TV screen when increasing volume with Bose universal remote which is a slight annoyance. Bose remote is solid and we'll built.

The Bose Solo 5 just ever so slightly increases the level - NOT THE QUALITY - of sound coming out of your TV. It was like hearing analogue AM radio being upgraded to analogue FM radio in the digital age. There is no enhanced bass sound, no increased clarity of voices. Bose Solo 5 soundbar.

I've had this soundbar for about 10 days now and i love it.
Its not a full surround sound system but that's not what this is about.
i have a 55in Samsung series 8 and the sound is terrible. the speakers are behind the TV and you lose so much.
The soundbar clears up a lot of speech and now i don't have to continually adjust the sound up and down to watch a movie between speaking and music.
The remote is pretty good. easy to tune in the TV. Doesn't work so good for Foxtel but as long as the TV and soundbar are on one remote that's all that matters.
