Great Sounding CD Player

These are very good CD players, they retailed for $180 years ago when sold. They live up to Bose standards of sound quality, very good. The only defect is that the LED screens fail, almost
universally. Often the player will still perform without the read-out. That is fine by me as I know the butons and and I can navigate without the LED. This way you can buy a nice sounding CD player for $25 shipped, I think a really good deal. Kinda crazy to pay $100 for a portable CD player these days.Read full review

OK, but not great.

The product was sold as being used but still having great sound and being an excellent name brand at a real good price. I did not find this to be completely true. It showed more wear (scratched, sticky) that I thought it would. The sound quality was fine, but not exceptional. Plus, it did not come with a transformer for chargering. Ultimately I would have been happy paying $20 instead of low $30's.Read full review

Inoperable Complete Disappointment

It didn't work. There was just a few lines scattered on the display. Nothing meaningful like just one complete number or letter. Additionally it would play for maybe a minute and then shut off. Very disappointed in this Bose. I thought Bose sold a better product. I am trying to decide whether to display it prominently as a product to be avoided, or just throw it in the trash and acknowledge my foolishness for buying it. Read full review

It's simply a great product with it's anti skip button & push button controls. This machine is very easy to use with a great display window that's located on the front of the player. My husband loves the portable player! The sound quality is excellent, typical of Bose. He enjoys being able to listen anywhere and anytime with no interference from other sounds. One should have really good ear buds to appreciate the sound quality of the Bose player. Decent sound quality

A easy to use model decent player. Generally only issue (most unused but LCD may not work well; reason bought for gifts and promo headphones were one of the best on the market (Cambridge sound works) but except for the type of plastic used in manufacturing it is easy to use set up etc. however even Bose design as expected awesome drop or bump… gone! Can’t really fix the laser mechanism. Even later models with technician repair not much different. However if you want Bose quality sound and are careful carrying it, likely design for home personal use it is one that is decent quality but not for heavy duty use. Car or backpack fine… again one that is an easy fix if it needs repair as long as the case is good and buy part showing it partially lights LCD laser with a little patience or rest is not difficult needing tech repair but LCD would be a little more tricky than the mechanism so of you bump it and jar the mechanism gone… LCD is simple if you have repaired one. Otherwise top good easy fix.
This one was in working condition as described. It is again a good model sound but a little less durable than some later models. Otherwise before
Sport versions this is likely one of the better. It is not actually age of the plastic etc but not flexible plastic. If you have used one of these they are actually pretty decent just more of a home/care model so “handle with care”Read full review

Just what I needed!

Bose Portable CD Player

It has a great sound, was simple to operate having not received the Manual, having just recd the player. I had to get ear buds, and a electrical plug in. That means it is not a true Bose, that bothers me, as I like things to be all the same . However that does not stop the CD from its performance. I like the simpleness of operation plus I like the battery compartment on the outside rather than inside under where the CD is placed. Read full review
