It works if you follow pest control advice
I used these when our house was FULL of fleas and followed the instructions on the bombs. It was so bad you couldn't go anywhere without being attacked.
We had a pack which all worked, so I can't comment on other reviews about receiving faulty bombs. We had a pack which produced a LOT of smoke, far more than the Johnsons flea bombs we have used before.
After the bombs finished smoking and we had aired the house out, there were less fleas straight away. But please note, other reviewers have posted about having a lot of angry fleas afterwards. There will be- you've just spent 2 hours poisoning them. They become very agitated and bite to try and get rid of the toxic fumes, but they will die if used correctly. You might also see some small fleas because the bomb kills the live fleas, then the eggs hatch and it's meant to then carry on working to kill the newly hatched ones.
We then decided not to hoover, especially the carpets, to give it time to work. The instructions don't say to do this but we looked up some pest control aftercare and this is what the council would have recommended if we had hired an exterminator. We think it helped kill the newly hatched fleas. I would use it again and recommend it.Read full review

Doesnt work, made things worse
Used these on thursday, left for holiday on friday, returned a week later to my house being absolutely covered in fleas, we have had to sleep elsewhere and pay for pest control to come out. I am not impressed at all in fact I've spent the weekend crying and with no sleep, im 6 months pregnant and have five other children so we couldnt be anymore upset. These products clearing dont work they just made my house smellRead full review

Consistently Works
With 2 'going-out' cats, fleas are a consistent annual problem. Turn the central heating on October-ish and we all come alive. Not pleasant. I have used BM Flea Bombs for several years, backed up with a household flea spray to catch the odd straggler, treated the cats for fleas and worms, of course, and within 2 weeks all seems under control.
Must stress all these things have to work together, else you are wasting your time.
However I always look for BM Flea Bombs in autumn. Easy to use, follow the instructions, wouldn't want anything else.Read full review

Peace of mind!
This was the only item really capable of removing fleas from the home. Totally effective as smoke 💨 went into every nook and cranny but after allotted time, room cleared with no lingering smell.
