Excellent little laser

I was looking for a laser level which can be held on the wall for lining up handrail brackets or fixing a timber for handrail brackets and this little level does just that , I have been a carpenter now for a long time and this is now proven to be invaluable, it projects s clear red laser line easy long enough for a 4mtr wall , also it comes with a device that fastens to the wall with a small strong nail which is attached to the device, I found this holds to the wall well and then you can turn it to your desired position , also comes with a device that can be screwed to the wall , excellent bit of kit , highly recommended .Read full review

Not worth 6x the price

I bought two different items from different suppliers to do a comparison and both seem equally made, but the cheaper one is easier to use and changing batteries is also easier. The B&D has a cheap and fiddly on/off switch the cheaper one has a large button on the side which is far more convenient, and with the B&D changing batteries is a bit awkward. I paid £22 for the B&D laser and £3.50 for the other that in essence appears to do the same thing. if I'd known I wouldn't have paid 6x the price for the B&D laser as I feel they are trading on their name in order to charge so much.
