Would work fine, but unfortunately defective unit.
If you want to ditch the flap on your UM84 this us the way to go. The unit I received however, had the snaps installed in the wrong area of the strap, making the fit impossible. Rather than go thru the hassle of returning and all that, I just made it work with a little black zip tie, which will hold it just fine but I am slightly dissapointed with my experience with Bianchi/safariland products ALWAYS being positive. Easily converted my military holster for faster presentation
This was a super-easy installation, instructions included. As advertised, turned my military holsters into faster-presentation rigs that I can use for competition. Still not as fast as a kydex-type holster, but good enough with practice.
