Behringer NU1000 iNuke 1000W Power Amplifier

An ideal package for a good majority of live sound needs.

So I don't know if this review is a prefect description of what the nu1000 is capable of, but in my set up so far they hit the mark. I have a small fleet of nuke amps in my pa and the nu1000s are set up to run passive monitor mixes. My cabinets are rated 8 ohm so I know I am not getting their full potential, but here is what I know. They aren't noisy, they're loud, they're efficient, and they are affordable. I can run the main & stage PA off (1) 20amp circuit at full scream. That's all I need. No bells no whistles, just power. The connections on the back are straight forward XLR and NL. Keeping connectivity simple saves a couple bucks on the sticker price I'm sure. There is a high - low pass switch on the input section that I'm not using but if this amp was pushing subs or satellite cabinets using that feature could save some house EQ for more important needs. For a straight up 2 channel amplifier this is a great deal and should go the distance. I have five nukes in a 12 space rack and I can lift it onto the stage or into the trailer thanks to their reduced weight (remember to bend at the knees). I have overpowered my PA using 3K's on mono subs, 3k's & 1k's on bi-amp mid-hi mains, and passive wedges. At this price point you should be able to over power your rig and get a lot use for the $$$$. Clips, Not very powerful.

I got this to run 2 bass shakers in a couch. It pushes them fine, but clips during bass heavy tracks. I did not get it for music. I tested with music. I would say this amp is about 50 to 80 watts rms per channel and maybe 150 watts rms mono/bridged. I have no test equipment, but based on other amps and their ratings that where I would say this fits in.

If you try to run it in bridged mode @2ohms it will clip constantly at 60% volume. @4ohms its clips 2 clicks before max.
In series at 8Ohms it don't clip but barely loud enough to feel the Dayton BST-1s

By clip I mean shut off audio for a few seconds.

I also tested on a 50 watt rms 100 watt max 10 inch GRS sub. It pushes it, but won't blow it, therefore this amp is not even close a 1000 watts.

The fan spools up very loud when playing at mid volume. Therefore adding unwanted noise into my listening experience.

Note: if you only plan to use this one one sub you probably won't clip much. For the money there are a lot better options available. I regret buying this product.Read full review

Behringher Inuke 12000 watt amp

The most efficient amp I've ever used. It pushes my 2000 watt PRV. Subs and shakes the venue where ever my group performs .

Highest wattage per pound

These amps are so awesome. When you pick it up it feels like it's empty. The power output is 500w per channel at 2 ohms. Please note that at 4 ohms power output will be roughly half and at 8 ohms it will be toughly a quarter. So with two 8 ohm speakers you would only see about 125 x 2 which is not that much. You could add speakers in parallel on each channel in order to bring out some of that unused available power. I purchased the item under the pretenses that I would be supplied with the power cord to plug it in and turn it. However no power cord was supplied nor was the special adapter to plug into the back of the amp to supply power to the unit. Great technical solution

Can be used as alternative to PMP6000 but does not have the same power output by any stretch of the imagination. A good technical alternative though.
