Nook Simple Touch

This is an excellent product. Well constructed. Comfortable in the hand. Excellent screen - little or no glare. I find it very good in almost all lighting conditions that you would normally read a book. I do not miss it not having an internal backlight. The screen is very responsive to the touch and the paging controls work just fine. The menu system is easy to use. The only downside is the B&N do not allow ebook downloads to Canada, however there are lots of other alternatives.Read full review

Love this, bought it to replace my old one I broke

This little guy works great. The form factor fits nicely in my hand and I like B&Ns frequent deals. I use BookBub to find books for $2, then I buy them on B&Ns website, and poof! they're on my nook.r>
The eInk screen makes reading easy on the eyes, I don't trust the newer reading tablets that just have a computer screen.

I had the glowlight version before which I really liked, but even without it it's a great little product. At these prices, I might buy a few more to have as backups because I like them so much and probably can't find another in 5 years when I break this one :)Read full review

it would have been five stars if the feature that allows one to read books, not in one's library, while in a barnes noble location, actually worked.

Also search function could have been made less clunky if one could actually save the results, even if temporarily, until one is done and opts to delete it.

replace my worn out nook

Love the physical buttons

Unlike the kindle paperwhite i have this ereader has back and forward and home buttons. Theyre much easier to use if you ask me. Screen is just as good as kindle, just no light. Which is fine if you read by lamp.Read full review

This is a great little reader, It is very easy to navigate and download books. I have since ordered the Glowlight Plus so I can read outdoors (you cannot read outdoors with the Simple Touch) and it is not as well made and user-friendly by half and I cannot download from library. I owned one of these before, back when they were fresh on the market, but it was destroyed in a luggage packing mishap and I've missed it dreadfully ever since. My only regret is not buying the model with the glow light, as the screen seems darker than I recalled... of course it could just me my eyes, lol.Read full review
