It does what one asks of it. simple & easy
I am thankful for the extra cartridge--- just in case. The ritual of cleaning
the old 33's makes for each time's use, a special occasion.
The wow & flutter measurements can best be left up to science minded individuals as I am happy for the imperfections. The only drawback is that in today's speaker systems there is a sub frequency factor that can cause the stylus to jump. Those frequencies were not present in most stereo systems of the 70's & 80's so the design to prevent this was not necessary.
I simply turn the volume down a hair for those occurrences rather than EQ the entire surround system.

Good for general listening and not fussy setup
For the money, the AT-LP60 is better than some of the cheaper fare with ceramic cartridges, but keep in mind, the sound quality is not good for audiophiles. If you are not mastering your records to the level expected from reissued albums (which they probably use turntables costing thousands of dollars, which I would recommend for that purpose anyhow), this unit is very easy to setup. It may skip on some records without the anti-skating and counterweight controls. Just a fun, lightweight unit that gives you good enough sound reproduction that you may be better off dubbing to a cassette tape instead of digital format (the analog format deals with distortion better as opposed to gritty, digital-anemia). I recommend this unit for the purpose it is marketed to, but keep in mind that the upgrade to the needle bundled with the unit is actually worse. There is a reason why a certain cartridge comes with a certain needle by the manufacturer. This is not one of those models where a cartridge and headshell swap is possible, as units with that feature cost hundreds of dollars. Good luck, just do not move this around too much, as there is no armrest to lock the tonearm down. Also, all-plastic (except the super-light aluminum tonearm and platter), and so the unit is flimsy and can easily be broken. It is not even LEGO-quality plastic, so the very low price won't break your foot if dropped either. There are pluses and minuses with these kinds of devices in the first world.Read full review

Required small adjustment but sounds great
The turntable works and sounds great. I did have to slow down the speed to the proper 33 rpm, it arrived at 38 rpm which made everything sound funny but after that easy adjustment it worked great.

This is a real turntable!
My teenage son wanted a turntable for his birthday. I initially purchased a all-in-one system with speakers and a turntable. The turntable was a toy, it was not usable. Then I did additional research, something I should of started with and on the net, this turntable had good feedback. The stylus/needle is replaceable, but the cartridge is not. The next model up, I believe you can change the cartridge. This is not an issue for my son. The sound quality is good, the record speed is good, and the tone arm is balanced and weighted. Plays without skipping on new and old records. Plan on also getting a record cleaning kit, the kind with a wet solution seems to work best. I am not an audiophile so my criteria very basic. Great Value Turntable!
We love our AT turntable! We use it almost daily and it sounds great! It was easy to set up and it looks great. We bought the two year warranty with it in case anything happens. We've had it for two months now and working great! We love having it downstairs in our living room and are building up our vinyl collection :)Read full review

Audio-Technica AT-LP60BK/SP121 Automatic Belt-Drive Stereo Turntable w/speakers
Great beginner turntable and fantastic speakers!
However, the tracking force is inconsistent on this player. I've noticed that it skips on some of my brand new vinyls while others play just fine. If you want 100% accuracy, I'd suggest you get a higher-end turntable.Read full review

great features,reasonable price!!
I had forgotten how good an LP album can sound. The turntable brings out the sound quality you just don't get with a CD or cassette tape or digital music downloads. The turntable makes music sound like it was meant to.Read full review

Easy to use, handy
Overall, the device works pretty good. No bells and whistles though, given the price I have no complain. My only issue is about the poor quality of the built-in speaker, the sound that comes through it is hardly audible. When hooked to an external speaker, however, works perfect.Read full review

Phono simple
This phono is easy to set up and has mostly good qualities. Could use adjustment or counter weight on needle arm.

The best Turntable for the money.
I've had this turntable for a couple years now, and I have to say, it's the best bang for your buck possible for the price.
If your just getting into vinyl or just looking for a step up from any old Sony or cheap stereo turntable, this is the one to get.
Once your looking to upgrade I suggest the same brand and the next model up from this one, but this one is great for beginners.
Auto start is great, and it's reliable and sounds great!
Careful playing 10 inch records on this, it will mess up the Auto Start and it will set itself to 10 inch as default and do this on 12 inch records annoyingly.Read full review
