excellent
I stumbled across archoil a few years ago and would highly recommend it.
I used the original ar 6400 d on a bag 1.9 PD engine which use to leave a cloud of soot where ever I went and it cleaned it up where other products failed.
I've used it on an old 1.4hdi citroen with 148,000 miles on the clock it cleaned up the injectors and when the injector seals failed the mechanic remarked at how clean they were so the original injectors went back in.
I also periodically use it on a Renault 1.5 dci k engine with a fap this has 60k miles on the clock and has never had a fap problem despite primarily only short runs.
With the vag I was able to compare before and after emissions and all measured diesel emissions were significantly reduced.
I would recommend using annually a couple of fill ups before the MOT.Read full review

Good for smoke, but cheaper competitors make more of a difference
I used Cataclean diesel prior to using this, Cataclean was half the value and i felt the difference within a few days of using the car. the engine before smoked and was rather loud as it was knocking on the wrong side of 250,000 miles,
I brought Archoil as all the reviews i read looked very good. in my personal opinion for smooth running Cataclean DPF Cleaner is a better choice, and made more of a noticeable difference, however i do feel the Archoil has helped reduce the smoking down to a minimum under load, but for the cost of the product i don't feel this justifies the cost against 2 bottles of CatacleanRead full review

IN A NUTSHELL, IT WORKS
First of all, my car is getting on. It's a 2003 Vauxhall Astra Estate 1.7TD. I'm a motorcyclist at heart so the car is for doing the shopping and taking the family out. It's reliable, with 167000 on the clock.
Now lots of go faster stuff for cars is what's called Snake Oil. Basically it doesn't work. Of the few that do, Redex works a bit ( but not a lot ) I've tried a few products over the years and I tend to sit in the skeptical camp if the truth be known.
So I came upon Archoil AR6400-D MAX Pro Diesel Engine Turbo DPF CAT Cleaner Concentrate
Lots and lots of reviews says it works. Mm. well they would, wouldn't they, if they'd just forked out £22 for a bottle and it ended up being about as much use as a chocolate teapot ! You wouldn't tell your friends you'd just fallen for another lame duck. My girlfriend ( who drives a much sportier diesel than me, ) borrowed my car for an afternoon and said, "Your Turbo is either dead or it's rubbish" She was right. I'd simply got used to less and less power, slowly and insidiously over the last 4 years of ownership.
OK, I'll splash and and buy a bottle. Did it work ? YES. 150 miles later and I'm willing to go to Court and say, Yes. It works fine. I noticed the difference from 50 miles in. The turbo has come back to life and I can clearly feel it kicking in and doing it's job. The car has been looked after in every other aspect. In 4 years I've done 60,000 trouble free miles and it passed it's MOT 3 weeks ago. It was just lacking power. It's now got that power back.
I don't like throwing money away, and for once I've found a product that actually works well.

Archoil AR6400-D
Archoil AR6400-D.. wonderful stuff. I recently bought a diesel x type Jaguar that would go into `limp mode`without any warning, sometimes when I started the car, & others when I changed gear from 4th to 3rd. My local garage changed the EGR valve but still no better, So, being a bit sceptical but not wanting to spend even more money on garage bills I tried a bottle of Archoil, The results were great, no more limp mode on start up, & better MPG, well worth the money, I now keep a spare bottle in the shed ( just in case)Read full review

second time user
second time ive put this in my 1998 transporter with 180000 trouble free miles.you can feel the difference to the vehicle when added to the fuel.it runs better.i assume it is cleaning out injectors ect and not just a temporary octane booster.i will continue to add every 5000 mls as i believe it does benefit my van.cheap internal engine and parts maintenance.Read full review

Excellent product that does what it says.
Archoil 6400 is, in my opinion, the very best in its class when it comes to engine cleaners.
It out-performs many of the other brand products that we have tried. This is the only product that actually proved to do what we needed resulting in massively reduced emissions and notably increased performance, response and slightly better fuel economy as well. Our service vehicle failed its 6 monthly test due to emissions. Archoil 6400-D fixed this. Very happy with this product.
Power.enhancer (eBay) gave a first-class service, next day delivery, even though I ordered late in the day. And their telephone technical support and advice was also very good. They seem to be a very knowledgeable company. and also, very friendly and helpful.Read full review

Archoil AR6400-Dmax
My Mazda 6 2014 diesel on dash says dpf highly sooth and clogged, put diagnostic tool says turbo sensor, exhaust circuit A sensor and dpf clogged. Bought a archoil D-max with archoil 6900 conditioner. Fill up with shell V power and pour archoil D Max into fuel tank. Drove to motorway for 50 miles with 4th gear 70 miles an hour with high rev about 3 then all the lights gone and all the fault code gone. Before car wasn’t pulling at all now car pull like train. Since I purchased the car two years ago thought there is no turbo in this mazdas but now feel like twin turbo on it. After few days I’ve purchased a fuel cleaner and sprayed through air intake pipe and saw smoke coming through exhaust which cleared more sooth from the fuel system. Now car drive like brand new. I highly recommend archoil to anyone. Read full review

2008 jag x type 2.2 auto / limp mode , code turbo overboost.
I had a fault code on my jag, to be honest I never really boot the car, as it's auto and so effortless to drive, which might be one of the reasons the turbo vanes got clogged up! Car drove fine but after I took dog for a walk at the lake I had to pull out on to main road and it was a hill.. always there when accelerating it went into dreaded limp mode, turn engine off re start car drove normal again.. I put 2 bottles initially in to full tank of premium diesel 'shell'.. used the tank... still limp mode after dog walk! ... then I read you need to clean the fuel system out before the turbo cleaner archoil ar6900-dmax ... so full tank of fuel put in recommended amount which was half a bottle of the 'small' bottle then drove car... when driving on motorway every now and then there was a slight surge or not quite misfire but I thought it was doing some sort of clean.. it's supposed to clean injectors and all... half a tank left I booted on my said 'hill' it nearly made it to the top and then.. you guessed it.. limp mode again. So... next full tank.. put archoil ar6400-Dmax in and hey presto.. 3 bottles of this and fuel system cleaner , problem cured!! It says on website that this stuff works 80 % of the time and if this does not work nothing else will, unless stripping and Manuely cleaning turbo! If only I read to put fuel system cleaner in first!.. still £40 is better than £85O for new(and not needed) turbo! If anyone has this fault on there car.. stick with it and keep adding archoil.. one bottle might not be enough.. once cured every couple of months just add another bottle and keep on top of it.. incidentally my other 2.0 x type jag which I still have (Manuel) didn't miss a beat until 190,000 miles!! Being Manuel I drove it harder.. good luck!

Does what it says!
Every time I put my foot down (even only slightly) on my Volvo V70 2.4D it went into "limp mode" until restated. The garage said it sounded like "Turbo problems"... Checking on Youtube I found out that it can take up to 2 hours to remove a Volvo Turbo, then clean it - then up to another two hours to put it back in again... So I was willing to try anything (other than pay the Garage for 4+ hours labour on a 2004 car!) - I read an excellent article on a website "Oilem" - who may or may not (I'm not sure) be connected with this product...
Either way - I put a bottle in a full tank of Diesel. Within around 30 miles - no more problems.... After half a tank - I tried pulling my Caravan - I towed at 50 mph with Cruise control up Dinmore Hill near Hereford. The engine got hot, the rev counter went up to around 4k+ and no more problems going into "limp mode" - and there have been no more problems since. The engine is more responsive as well now... This stuff really works. I am also getting good MPG figures on a motorway run - not so good locally, but that's a V70 for you!
I have just bought another bottle to put through my Wifes Mondeo (2007) TDI - It doesn't have problems yet, but for the cost, I am making sure it stays that way!Read full review

Works like magic
tried everything on my 2013 C4 Grand Piccasso, dpf light still on then an injector went cost a fortune to replace and still not running right, thought I'd have to sell on a car I love but put this in and within 5 miles dpf light off and running better that it ever has, mpg up from 32-35 in town to 43-45, will def be using this regularly from now on, bought for dad's car too, same car, slight older but same issues but his had engine management on and dash lit up like Christmas, same story, truly amazing. Garage impressed and ordered for his own x5 diesel and improved engine performance noticeably, think that says it all, he now recommends this in the tank for diesels with these type engines if dpf or engine performance is the complaint and before mot.Read full review

Does What it Says It Does.
I thought id give this ago as I've read very good reviews about it. I wasn't expecting to notice a big change as i thought my car was in good running condition anyway as i use Redex in every fuel fill up but i did. The thing i noticed the most was just how quiet it made the car and also just runs a lot smoother. Although its more expensive then most as a one off payment, because you only need to use it every 5000 miles its well worth doing. Just a heads up for people, the reason I've switched to this product from Redex is because I've heard from a lot of sources that Redex contains chemicals that if used continuously, can actually cause a lot of problems like basically dissolving your fuel tank lining and fuel injectors.
