At the end of the day,a filter does what it does. This one isn't any better or worse than any other from a reputable manufacturer. I live in a hard water area and our water supplier doesn't believe in going easy on the chemicals either.
To be honest,it's not very nice to drink from the tap and the limescale is enough to wreck a kettle or washing machine pretty quickly if you don't use a conditioner or softener. This filter does an excellent job of removing the chemical taste and limescale for making hot or cold drinks. The difference in water quality after filtration is very apparent. Makes very hard tap water drinkable
