First i was like $400 for a Mac? Too good to be true! But In all honesty nothing but love for it. So perfect for college! It was fast shipping and when i got it there was no scratches what so ever. Refurbished but with severe cosmetic damage. Insides working, so far so good.
Received our refurbished macbook quickly and well packaged. My teen kid was bummmed after immediately noticing the cosmetic damage. We have used it for several hours now and it is working fine so far. Since the edges are bent from the damaged case I could not make an after market protector plastic snap into place. Some keys are showing sign of wear and its black paint is chipped on some keys noticeable mainly when back lit. This macbook apparently went through a lot before getting refurbished. Edited Review: Scare but everything’s fine
The computer came in great shape 1 day early, hardly any scraps. It runs well and the battery is great. But when I first got it I noticed their was already a user on it. I freaked out and eventually got locked out because I didn’t know the password. I tried to contact tekreplay about it all day during their business hours but no one would answer or reply to my many emails. So I called Apple and they fully reset it. Computer is Great! But...OS is quite out of date!
This little Apple is great for school or home use but the only problem is running certain applications on and out of date operating system! Hi Sierra is already becoming obsolete. And I cannot update this operating system without upgrading the hardware! Decent buy for a fast Mac, but not for a show off machine
To start with, it is a great purchase for the price and performance in the terms of the whole MacBook Air line up.
What to expect:-
1. As Described hardware specifications.
2. Decent Battery (300+ cycles / 90-95% health)
3. Heavily scratched case (major and minor dents) from bottom to cover, especially the corners.
4. A few to some scratches on the screen (obvious).
To round it up, for the beginner to MacOS or professional looking for a fast and light Mac machine, it is a decent buy while still has more versatility than an iPad Pro. But definitely not the usual Starbucks show off Machine.Read full review
