If you want cordless earplugs with more than adequate sound quality AirPods are for you.
I bought Apple AirPods a year or so ago about the time the 2nd Generation came out which, at the time I didn't know about and thought I had the 1st Generation and the and found that they were the 2nd Generation and they work great. Surprisingly the things fit in my ears and don't fall out. Sometimes I think they are getting loose so I go to press them in a little more and they seem to be in all the way anyway (so it seems like they will fit in most anyones ears). I am not an audiophile so I'm not up on listening to symphonies and cannot discern the different sounds of the variety of instruments but the sound is a lot better than some powered computer speakers that I have used in the past. You can definitely hear all the words distinctly as I use them a lot when I listen to audio books. I read a lot and listen to audio books a lot and I don't know why more people don't want to listen to audio books with their iPhones. Anyway it's true that battery life isn't all that great. So I came up with a brilliant idea and bought a second pair of AirPods and carry a spare set so if the batteries in the AirPods die just before I get to the climax of the story I can dig out the 2nd set and continue and find out how the story ends. I have the 2nd Generation of AirPods and like the way you can tap on an AirPod to summon Siri to increase or decrease the volume and perhaps do other things but I'm satisfied just to increase and decrease the volume as I encounter the different levels of sound in the surrounding environments that I encounter. I love the hands free and the cordless features AirPods. I am satisfied with the features of the 2nd Generation and see no need to go to the newer Generations with their features for the price when the 2nd Generation works quite well. If you want to be economical and decide to go with the 2nd Generation AirPods (like I did from eBay) it is difficult to distinguish the 1st Generation AirPods from the 2nd Generation AirPods.Read full review

Great earbuds with iPhone - wireless charging case value is suspect, however.
The second generation AirPods work great with great battery life and my perception is that the connectivity via bluetooth is even better than the first generation, which was great already. I had a first generation set and I kept them in my back pocket - I wonder if sitting on them exposed them to too many hours of higher temperatures because the battery life dropped to about 1/3rd of the original first generation life when new. I'm taking care to keep this new set out of the heat hoping that battery life over time will be much better. I say that they are a good value - I wouldn't buy the wireless charging case as it just doesn't offer that much incremental value - I did in this case because I got such a good price from a seller on eBay! Overall, buy the set with the standard case and get ready to enjoy them!Read full review

product showed up in a brand new apple box still sealed in the plastic. They work good and sound fine. The only 2 thing i did notice is my live listen does not work and neither does siri with these connected also the little touch buttons only work when they want to but i dont really use that feature.Read full review

These are absolutely incredible, fantastic investment!
It's taken me a while to pick up Airpods because of their high price point, but now that I have, I sure am glad that I did. They were one of the best investments of my life. IMO AirPods 2nd generation are far superior than AirPods Pro
I had a pair of AirPods 2nd generation and lost the left one. My son bought me a new pair for my birthday. Unfortunately they were discovered in the bottom of the washing machine a few months later and they no longer worked. I decided to buy a pair of AirPods Pro. I absolutely hated them! They don't stay in my ears even after buying 2 different types of ear adapters. Terrible! Frustrated I went back online and discovered I could purchase a single AirPod on Ebay!
