AirPods

The AirPods are Apple's take on keeping you in there ecosystem with seamless wireless transition between iPhone, iPad, etc. (takes about 5 seconds to switch). Now since this is the start of killing the infamous wire in a mainstream setting; 5 hours does work for most people... it takes around 30 minutes to charge it and the case itself charges in less than 2 hours. These will NOT fall out of your ear; it didn't really occur to me but the wire on the original EarPods were really heavy given light tips. Since these ones don't have any sort of wire, they don't fall out when running, jumping- you have to break your skull in the process of attempting to slightly make these fall out of your ear, that's how secure. The sound is also good. If you're not an audiophile, it's basically the same as any headphone (if you are, and care more about sound than how it feels, looks, and connects, you probably don't even use Apple in the first place ;) anyway, it's refined in the mids and to a lesser extent, the base compared to the EarPods but they are ALOT more louder: I used these in a crowded protest near LA, still could hear the music. Apple made these more for there devices because there isn't a standard of quick connecting with Bluetooth, you can connect them to a non mac or non ios device, and you're still have the sound and battery... just not the mic (watch Jony Ive's narration for an explanation of how that works) or the double tap or a seem less connection. The reason is they're establishing a lifestyle. Some people only buy Nike for there sports gear... Apple wants to be the company of tech, it's even why they made that Nike watch. And while I think it's never too late to come aboard Apple's ship, it's a shame that there products used to stand on there own and now have to work together, though I don't care... i have all the apples :| bad jokes, wasn't even a joke now that I'm thinking about it. Anyway, I'll end on a bad not because English teachers tell you never to do that and I don't follow da rulz. I love the minimalistic change from iPhone 4&5 to 6&7 and the watch looks amazing, but the EarPods were designed along with a cloud white wire, taking that away is like having the Apple Watch without any band, it doesn't look good. With time, more and more people will buy these so it'll look as normal as the watch but for early adopters like myself, I may enjoy the product, but this is definitely does not look good. Don’t have much to say because everything is pretty straight forward. Brand new, still factory wrapped, unused Apple AirPods for less than what Apple is charging. Came charged, didn’t immediately sync up but I think they fell asleep in transit cause when I plugged them in to charge they synced up. So anyways, yeah awesome deal! Get you a pair if you can!! Having tried several other brands (fakes) I bought a set of Apple's AirPods - they are, in a word, wonderful. I am a big beats fan and I came from the studio 2.0 and I love these airpods. The sound quality can't compare to beats but that's because I'm a big bass person and these airpods don't come through so well for bass. Excellent companion to Apple ecosystem

If you have an iPhone, these are great. If you also have an Apple Watch, these are stellar. Siri functionality is slow going from phone to headphones, so if you want to Controll these via voice command it is a bit inconvenient. If you have an Apple Watch, I highly recommend you put the iTunes watch app 1st in your doc; you'll be able to manage much easier. You can change the touch controls to pause/play and skip to the next/precious track if you change the gesture in settings, but then you loose tap for Siri, but you can still say "hey Siri" and get a (slow) response.

They fit very comfortably in my ears and once paired to your phone they will connect and start playing almost instantly when pulled from the case and inserted to your ear. The sound quality is significantly better than the wired earbuds and they have even sound across all frequencies (bass isn't super powerful, but it is pretty solid).

Great fit, versatile, & good for exercise.

I use all Mac products for home & business. So I grabbed the AirPods knowing I wanted to integration, but also recognizing I was likely paying more for the consistency than actual functionality.
r>I was pretty wrong. I have them synced with multiple devices, they stay in my ears when I lift and / or go for a run, and have great sound quality.

While they make my right ear sore after I swear them for an hour plus - I usually don't, so it's not a deal breaker.

Overall - I don't think they're worth the $210 I paid (I needed a new headset prior to a trip), but I am glad I own them & do not regret it at all.

If you can afford the pricepoint and like Mac products - they're worth it. There are comparable and likely better products out there, but I'm glad I bought these. Read full review
