Not a genuine compatible cable. My iPad displays a “not charging” even when charging message with non-official cables. Trying to get a genuine one is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

Dodgy connection

It looks like a genuine charger lead but it doesn’t always work, sometimes I have to connect and reconnect connect and reconnect the lightning lead to get the current flow into the phone

Faulty charger

I received 2 chargers that looked perfect, however they fail to charge my phone and keeps flickering on and off, this is the same for both of them. This happened as soon as i opened them so i couldn't have broken then in the seconds that id used them. These chargers are faulty
