Does the job

Not the cheapest available, but seems to be well made. Works OK, we have had third-party Apple leads that made poor connections, but so far, this one is good. The storage case is nice, but difficult to wind the flex tight enough to fit in. Only downside was that the packaging was completely torn open in transit and was delayed several days, probably stuck in a PO machine. Surprisingly, it arrived OK and undamaged. Need to use a jiffy bag, not just a plastic sleeve envelope.Read full review

Not genuine apple

The box looks legit but it says “designed by in California” and misses the apple out. The cable also does not have the writing “designed by apple in California, packaged in Vietnam” that genuine apple cables have.
