Ditch that laptop. IPad Pro is the one
I’ve had the iPad Pro for just over two weeks now and all I can say is wow!
The iPad Pro, is a super powerful device, which I have not been able to get to break a sweat. It has handled everything I have thrown at it, without a hint of slowing down.
Complex image editing (Pro level layers, composites etc) using Affinity for iPad, RAW processing in RAW Power as well as some lighter edits in Lightroom CC (third party Apps available to purchase from the App Store), make the iPad Pro a full spec Pro editing studio on the go.
Video editing in iMovie, didn’t even slow it down. The CPU and GPU power inside, is awesome.
The P3 gamut, ProMotion display, with it’s variable up 120fps refresh, combined with the optional Apple Pencil, make this a fully featured artists or editors tool. With a greater colour gamut than sRGB (P3 is almost up to the full AdobeRGB standard), makes your work ‘POP’. Everything looks amazing.
I’m absolutely bowled over by the iPad Pro. But I am glad that I decided to make the transition from laptop to iPad Pro with this 10.5” model.
It is brilliant on every level.
It did take a little adjusting initially, but after a few days, using my desktop, just seemed so ‘last century’. The iPad Pro, is much more fun to use, with a feeling of involvement. You do actually feel like you are creating when using this thing, as opposed to using it, like a desktop / laptop makes you feel.
With the right Apps, the iPad Pro can easily replace a laptop.
For students, get the keyboard and Pencil, so you can type to your hearts content or make notes with the Pencil. the possibilities are virtually endless.
IOS 11, with the improved multi tasking capabilities, really do open up an entirely new range of possibilities of iPad Pro, which is why I took the plunge to assess how it could fit into my photography workflow on the go.
I haven’t been disappointed. It has easily exceeded my expectations and has quickly become by go to device for everything I would previously have done on a traditional computer.
Battery life is phenomenal and will easily last an entire day, but if you’re going to be doing a lot of video editing, grab the optional USB-C 29W fast charger, for quick charge capabilities.
I would highly recommend the iPad Pro. It is a completely versatile device and with a little adjustment, can easily replace that laptop.Read full review

The best possible tablet on the market
As a Samsung girl I was very skeptic to move to Apple products. I've watched several reviews on Youtube and decided to give it a try. Damn it, I did an excellent choice. The screen is absolutely brilliant, battery life is stunning. It depends on the usage of course, but mine has 2 and a half days battery life (normal usage, I haven't watched movies yet). The processor is super fast and the sound is very clear. It's easy to use even if you're not very familiar with iOS like me. Screen size is perfect, not too big like a laptop and not too small like a mobile. Extremely light and portable device. Battery charging time takes approx 4 hours which in my opinion is not a big deal. Seriously, you can't go wrong with this product.Read full review

Great replacement for my aging i pad.
This new iPad Pro has a larger screen than my aging iPad Air, it’s a lot thinner and lighter also. With the latest processor and chipset its very responsive and there’s no lag. The latest iOS version is great with some nice features too. WiFi on this iPad Pro definitely seems to have improved as I seem to have a stronger signal and better range. Have ordered myself the Apple Pencil as I think it’s something I will make great use off, but can’t comment on this at the moment as it hasn’t been delivered yet .Read full review

Moved up from a 2013 Air, which has been fantastic and reliable, despite being dropped umpteen times, but is now underpowered. The difference is close to stratospheric - slimmer; bigger display; superfast; excellent human performance efficiency features - the varied multi-tasking options.
