Antex 660a Analogue Soldering Station U7825F0

Finally got around to buying one!

Since using a similar iron at work a few decades ago, I have finally bought a decent temperature controlled iron. It mimics the works lab iron so well. I chose the analogue temp setting because I have experienced the digital ones and multiple button presses and accidental selection of inappropriate preset values are a pain for me. The only down side for me with the analogue knob setting is that it is quite loose and is easy to change without noticing. It’s also a bit of a heavy lump if like me you don’t have it set up on your work surface all of the time!

It’s not as convenient as my antex C15 but the flexible lead, quick warm up time, temperature control and loads of power is a nice thing to have. Recommended.Read full review

Brilliant tool

Replaced a cheaper item from Maplin, More expensive but far superior. Loads of heat and an iron that it small and comfortable. Often on sale 50% dearer. I would recommend this if you do a lot of soldering.Read full review
