Great concept but don’t waste your money

As of October 2021 Anki is no longer supported. To top that it’s an American company with no U.K. support.

The kits that are sold as new will have defunct batteries in the cars that will last no more than a few minutes.

Answer from the supplier is you can replace the batteries. This is true but you must purchase them at a cost of £9 a car and be handle with a solder iron.

Then of course if the cars don’t work you are left with £50 worth of rubbish. Look on eBay for second hand deals than new as it’s only going to cost you more in the long run.

The linked mode also doesn’t work so you can’t ply against each other, but of a buzz kill in my house.

Also the cost of cars is massive, like £50 a car so adding to the kit is expensive.

On the whole the concept is brilliant and it’s a shame they went bust but please don’t buy new kits. Once they have your money they don’t care. Read full review

Great fun for the men and boys who love car racing

Really great product, my son loves it. He has the other standard starter kit and we added this to it so he has 4 cars racing around on a huge track, very impressive tech, the cars can fly off sometimes and need the tyres cleaning, and it's not perfect but for the way the technology is used and fun you have it's working I would definitely recommend it.Read full review

App is terrible driving experience is boring

The app requires that you log in and provide your email adresse to anki. And you have to type in your email and password every time you play on each phone that is controlling a car. And you cannot control the speed of the car. The car is basically ai controlled which makes it boring for the kids. Read full review

Just be aware of anki app failure

The cars and track are great , but the only problem was the anki app is gone . But after a bit of digging and help off a friend there is an apk download available for version 2.6 and once a few mods to software have been made . My kids are happy playing on it . Read full review
