Exactly what I wanted

There is a strong plastic smell on first few uses, I would recommend running empty for a couple of nights and washing trays well before using it for food. The trays are on the large size for my sink so I use a plastic garden tub for washing. The whole thing together is about the size of a small microwave, but light enough to store on top of kitchen cupboards. The trays can be turned around so the gap between them is big or small. The noise is minimal, it's very easy to operate and I really like the timer function. I use this Dehydrator for making chicken jerky and chicken twists for my dogs and have made quite a few batches with ease. Next stop is beef jerky and fruit roll ups. Good entry level food dehydrator

These things take a LOT of practice to get the right thickness food and temperature and time. I found the intructions too tiny to read and pretty much useless. It's all about trial and error! I persevered and finally got what I wanted from this product. The trays are flimsy, so need to be washed carefully. But for the price it does the trick for me.Read full review

Extremely Disappointed 😡

This item arrived with no lid, which rendered it useless. New lid arrived cracked and damaged so item still not fit for purpose, I was really looking forward to using this as it was recommended to me by a friend who loves hers, and uses hers all the time. Unfortunately I haven’t had the pleasure in trying it out yet! 😡
Up to now my view is that this is too flimsy as parts can easily be broken. when I eventually get a working model I’ll revisit my review.Read full review

Best one I've tried without spending a fortune!

I love this hydrator!!!! It's easy to use, has lots of space to dry lots of food ( better than round ones) and provides exceptional results in a comparatively short amount of time. Adequate for what I need

The trays seem a little flimsy and so I am a bit nervous that I'll manage to break them (I am clumsy). I was therefore quite cautious in cleaning them which made things a bit fiddly. I've only made Kale chips so far - they turned out really well, but I did need to restack the trays as the bottom ones dried much quicker than the top. However, for the price I am happy - I'll be able to experiment with dehydrating and if I get the bug I can upgrade to something more robust should I break this one. It's also quite compact considering how much you can fit in it, so not too difficult to store.Read full review

Great dehydrator

Bought this dehydrator to make dog treats, to start with i tried duck feet. It was very easy to operate, the instructions were very clear and I felt quite confident operating it for the first time.>i had done some research beforehand on what is required in a dehydrator , and this one ticked all the boxes.
After practising with various times (as to how long is required to dry things thoroughly), i managed to produce perfect treats , and if i can do it anyone can.
The dehydrator produced minimum smell (as being vegetarian i hate the smell of meat cooking), and the design is very stylish as well as practical.It is very cheap to run (according to the instructions) and fairly quiet too. Overall very impressed.Read full review
