A good basic kit

For the price these taps & the wrench are reasonable value. I found that I needed a pair of pliers to tighten the collet sufficiently to hold the smallest tap (M5) & that the largest tap (M10) wouldn't fit into the jaws of the collet unless I forced them open a little. Disappointing.

Found this set to be a waste of time, the taps have square shanks but despite this the chuck of the wrench is unable to grip them. I could try the taps with drill but again the shanks would be better if they were hexagonal like drill bits. I was only tapping aluminium so can see no easy way they could be manipulated for steel as claimed. Bought a tap with a hexagonal shank and finished the job using a cordless drill.

Worked perfectly

Needed an M6 but this set seemed good value for money. Decades since I've tapped something but I needed to tap 2 predrilled holes under the seat in my car. Not for plate steel

Tried these on 10mm plate drilled to correct bore. We’re too soft to really cut properly. Still great for
Cleaning up threads or for say 3mm steel or thicker brass.

Useless wrench. Taps work ok
