Horrible software!

Easy setup if you only want to use while you are on the same local network. If you want to use it while you are out of the house and need to connect through the Internet, Forget it. Buy something else. This camera is not easy to set up for use when off the local network. Serves no purpose for me. Garbage!Read full review

Resolution excellent. Moving objects might best be seen on a lower resolution which you can adjust. Tilt and pan a nice feature but a little tricky from remote location with free wireless with a bit of a delay but better than not moving at all. Easy set up with quick set up instructions. Slightly different settings if additional device is used to monitor. Does use a lot of data in case you are watching on smartphone with limited paid data. Sound capabilities as well both ways. easy to get up and running off wifi. this model does not have a memory card slot despite the box indicating that capability. I have 2 other cameras with same model # that have the slot!

I received this item and it was new in the original package. Open and all materials that usually comes with the items were there manual, set-up guide etc. Set-up was easy and I got it done in minutes. The quality of the camera is good and the picture and video is really good and clear. I like this camera and plan to get a couple of more to replace some older cameras that I have. A Great camera for ANY security application

After you connect this camera to your network insert a uSD card & program it YOU ARE SET... You can now disconnect the camera from your network plug it in in any room, and it will start recording on the SD card. If or when something occurs all you have to do is review the recorded video on the memory card. If you obtain a 12 volt adapter for your car to the camera voltage you can even use this as a DASH cam and capture what happens as you are driving... BTW It also has REMOTE pan & Tilt via the BUILTIN web interface, you can connect via hardwire or WiFi. ABSOLUTELY recommend this camera. I will by buying many more... Best Cameras and best price!

These are great cameras! I had to call Amcrest Support to get it working though. I had 4 Wanscam cameras and one of them failed. So I'm no stranger to ip cameras. Support talked to me and suggested I let them hook into my PC remotely and see what's going on. I already had the Amcrest Survielence Pro loaded on my PC and the Support Tech guy had to install the ip config software because the auto search did not find my camera. After that, the Amcrest blew away my Wanscam camera so much that I ordered 3 more to replace my security system.

Possibly the best 1080P cctv camera on the market

I have tried a number of 1080p cameras and whilst this is the smallest it is certainly the best in my opinion. The digital zoom as opposed to optical zoom means less moving parts to fail and it is equal in quality. The pan / tilt is not normally found in quality real 1080P cameras
Use of the Amcrest viewing app is so simple to set up with easy instructions and free to use unless you wish to record in their cloud. It is also possible to view via TCP, port forwarding if you have a personal static IP from your provider.

Got it a few weeks ago and works great..easy to set up ,picture quality is good.
