Very useful for taking mini ECG recordings, annotating them and keeping them. Would be useful for sharing with your GP.

I bought this heart monitor because I had a TIA (minor stroke) 6 months ago and want to monitor my heart rate especially when climbing mountains.

It is very light and very small - easy to carry around and works with my Android phone (a Samsung) through the app.

At home/indoors it works well pretty much every time.
When I try making recordings in the mountains - e.g. after a steep climb or on the tops I often get error messages or spurious results. I am still trying to work out whether my heart rate really is irregular after vigorous exercise or whether it is a problem with the readings. However, on top of a Munro 2 days ago it informed me that my heart rate was 235 - obviously not correct as I was chatting to others and felt fine at the time.

I plan to put together a "log" of my ECG charts to give to my doctor for further analysis.
(You can save the ECG to the cloud and down load them later)

Do I think this product is useful: YES
Am I glad I bought it: YES
Is it better than a FitBit YES (way better! The fit bit only allowed my to down load my average heart beat over a 5 minute interval - useless for what I need)
Would I recommend it: YES if you want to monitor and see your ECG in real time.

A few other notes:
- there are other features with the app regarding exercise - I don't use them
- there is a VERY USEFUL feature that allows you to make notes regarding your ECG recording. For example, I note what exercise O had been doing just before taking the ECG, whether I had taken my beta blocker that morning etc

Works well but needs more information to set up than provided.

Works well but it took me a long time to get a signal from it to my phone. It needs to be right next to the phone and on a hard surface. A table cloth stops the signal!
It is also worth checking that an android phone has "body sensor" settings enabled since my did not automatically connect. Read full review

Monitors the electrical activity of the heart to assist your cardiologist.

This is a basic monitor of electrical activity in the heart. Using an app on an iPhone it is easy to set up and use. The results are for a cardiologist to assess, one who has the history well known to him/her. I doubt that a report written on the results with the cardiologist who has not had a proper consultation is of any value. The comments on each reading from the machine of of little value.Read full review

Ideal if you want to record rapid and irregular heart to show your doctor.

Really excellent. Very easy to download the app on a Samsung and use it. The Cardiologist immediately saw that I did have Atrial Fibrillation - rapid and irregular heart beat for a few hours at a time. Read full review

Cute gizmo, handy.

For me A Fib, although diagnosed by GP, is a difficult thing to notice so far. I guess some folks feel it happening strongly. For me I just feel like it's a mild case of reflux, an unease. I do feel a mild pounding in my chest. What this gizmo does, it slowly teaches me the sensation of an AF episode so now if I think it might be happening, the Kardia kind of confirms that. Don't know about other folks but I've never been able to take my own pulse, regular or AF'd.
The GP practice is impressed I got one. I know the NHS is looking at using these generally

I'm keeping a diary of results. If we can tie down how often it happens I figure the Doc can adjust the meds to ease the problem. I'm on 5mg daily of Bisoprolol so stuff can be changed to improve the condition.

Avoid setting a password for PDF's, that's just a dumb nonsense as is any idea of taking up the "Expert Review" account option. £ just to tell you the obvious, instead pass the findings back to your GP. Maybe one day we could upload ECG's to nhs.net & the medics but them poor folks have enough going on with Covid. I'm happy just to keep a log of me, pass that on.

The gimzo fits in a credit card wallet, I carry it round all the time. Neat.

Tech that works

Great little product that does what it says on the tin. One of the easiest bits of kit to set up that I have come accross. Produces clear well set out ECG graphical prints and links to medical professionals. Only downside is the need to give personal data to be kept on US servers as happens with many apps. That's something we all have to learn deal with.Read full review

Excellent product.

This is so easy to set up and even easier to use. It gives great peace of mind.
Excellent product.
I decided not to pay the £9.99 per month subscription as the monitor provides me with all the information I need.
If I do need to alert my health care professionals, I can simply send the information/readings to them...or just show them the saved readings.
Definitely recommended.
