Great and verstile brain for the money, love it

Got this for $99 plus shipping. I think it's a very good brain for the money. Pretty intuitive, everything works easy, lot of different drum voices, all individually volume-controllable. Practice songs have a nice feature in the drums on/off, you can learn quite a few good beats with this, found it handy. Takes a standard 12-pin top, 13-pin bottom connector, also has two extra outputs for add-on pads.Read full review

Very dissapointing product so far

Having had time now to work with this module for several weeks, I am very displeased with the sound sample quality and useful variety of the choices. Ride cymbal sounds are terrible and no acceptable choice for a ping ride exists...currently unable to get computer access to the available downloads from manufacturer and forsee selling it if this is all that module can do. Bought a Pro X Hi-hat to work expressly with this module and so far that is turning out to be wasted money as well. Hope to get Alesis help or I will blast them for expensive failure of their products.Read full review

Alesis Drum Set

I bought these for my husband and he LOVES them. He has been playing drums since he was a child and he has been having a blast with these. They can withstand a good beating because he plays really hard and can go through a lot of drum heads but hasn't had a problem at all. They are also Great for me because he puts his headphones on and I can go about my daily routines without interruption. Yes you can hear them just from him hitting them but it doesn't sound like a concert at my house anymore. I would recommend these to anyone who is thinking about getting them :)Read full review

Alesis DM10 eDrum module

I was disappointed with this module when I first set it up and began tuning. It was to replace a DM5 module that has been in studio use for 15 years now, but the "feel" and response was just not there. Alesis does not make clear the actual version numbers of its firmware update on their site, but I downloaded the latest anyway dated Nov. of 2014. Inside however were updates for the DM10 from Dec. of 2015. After applying the updates, this is exactly what I was hoping for in the first place.

The trigger sensitivity and response is better than the DM5 ever was and the crosstalk is easily managed. No more phantom triggering and it plays as fast as I can with all triggers acting and sounding as intended. We use custom rack mounted drums that were built in our shop and all zones function perfectly now. For anyone looking for a responsive drum module that easily connects to midi software and devices, I highly recommend the DM10 after updates. Ignore the 2014 date on the latest firmware on the Alesis site, and install it. It makes a world of difference.

All mixed up Kit... w/Alesia Brain

Thanks to the seller, item is great!

Had a Roland TD-7 with Midi... was slow responsiveness w/ midi to USB. I bought this Alesia brain because it had USB midi controls. Fixed everything. I run Ableton Live 9 with Midi controls and it’s awesome... can even toss on an iTunes track and play along because it has much better responsiveness.

For those that care, my kit is a whole mixture of stuff. I have Roland cy-8 crash’s/HH, cy-12 ride, PD-6 kick. Drum Tech snare and toms. Gibraltar rack, DW-9000 double pedal... Alesia brain runs everything. Ableton Live 9 for midi controls and endless file exchange for drum sounds!

Nice drum set for apartment playing

I set mine up for recording drum parts through Studio Drummer for much better sounds. Quiet for apartment playing and very responsive triggers.

Decent module

Nice module, for the age of the technology, and having multiple inputs is really why I got it. Some of the samples are way too electronic sounding, but the ability to adjust the sounds, on multiple levels can help with some of thatRead full review

Love this one!

Lots of fun, great response ( if you have an older one make sure to do the framework undate )and lots of options like blending 2 different cymbals in one trig. Great settings if you're mixing triggers and or making your own like i do.Read full review

Alesis DM 10

Really like the mesh heads and the fact that I can play just like my acoustic set. The available sounds are great and the versatility is awesome. I highly recommend this electronic kit.
