Time will tell.

I can only judge it based on a weeks use. It seems to work. I fitted it to a upstairs tall radiator which had an ongoing problem with trapped air. I had to bleed it every couple of days. So far all is well. This is the second autovent I have tried. The first one (with a replaceable valve) did not really work.
Time will tell if this one is OK.

Easy fix no manual bleeding

This was second one bought for heated towel rail in bathroom which is last in line of radiators. Saw on packaging that lasts about 5 years which seeing it was 8 years from last fitted not bad. Changed really easy without having to drain down system and instantly heard hiss of escaping air. I'd recommend to use on all rads. Read full review

Great little labour-saver

I had a radiator that always collected air at the top, no matter what I did. No more. This little wonder keeps it bled, so that it's nearly always hot right to the top. There are times when the top rung of my towel rail is cool, but by the next day, it's hot again. I think that's probably due to the fact that you shouldn't bleed radiators while the pump is on - must be to do with the pressure under pumping conditions. But when it switches off at the end of the day, it bleeds properly.

Recommended - a great time-saver.

No more regular radiator bleeding

This little unit is great - no longer does my most remote radiator need regular bleeding. It's easy to install, just wait until there is air in the rad. so the top is cold, shut of both end valves on the rad. and then unscrew the original manual bleed valve , replace it with the Aladdin valve and open up the rad. valves again. After a few seconds you'll see a slight squirt of water out of the new valve after which there are no leaks and no air build up either. It's great - been in for 2 months now - I just hope it stays that way.Read full review

An excellet solution to a very old problem.

These valves are easy to fit and automatically bleed radiators as required. easy to fit just shut the lock-shield valves and replace the original bleed valves, the result is immediate, no setting up or adjustments, fit and forget. Highly recommended.Read full review

ARVs

This is an excellent product, living up to its promises. I was regularly having to bleed the towel rails in the toilet and bathroom as the top few bars did not get hot, but since fitting these valves I have had no more problems, the towel rails are always hot. I would therefore recommend them.Read full review

Fit and Forget

Excellent product. Four easily fitted. One required PTFE tape to seal. Where possible left manual bleeders in place of blanks, just to aid bleeding after CH has been rundown. My big problem was a vertical radiator with large tubes and only the lower inlet manifold and upper header manifold. Which if full of air prevented water from circulating. No more the case though! Excellent result!Read full review

Aladdin Autovent HV30

Aladdin Autovent HV30 are ok they do the job and are now fitted and working fine, the only down side of these valves is that the HP30 which look great and are circular look the bis but are very awkward and hard to fit with the supplied 2 pin wire which eventually bends out of shape, In my opinion If I nkew up front how long they took to fit I would have bought the later version which has a spanner lock shape built into the top, but overall the first ones are cheaper and if you dont mind fiddling about these do the same jobRead full review

Does exactly what it says easy fitting

Does what it says stopped the ticking from bedroom radiator within 2 days of fitting. Very easy to fit with clear instructions we as yet have only fitted one to the upstairs bedroom rad as it ticked when heating came on. spent ages previously attempting to bleed it with usual methods very impressedRead full review
