Good controller for Android TV and even Windows PCs.
This controller works very much like an Xbox 360/one controller. The D-Pad and right thumbstick are switched (PS style). The build quality is excellent. At first the buttons are kind of stiff, but after a few minutes of playing they work themselves out. I use it with the Nexus TV to play emulators and stream games from PC (using moonlight and nvidia game stream) for these things it works very well. The only thing it is missing is vibration, which is kind of a bummer.Read full review

DOES NOT WORK IN WINDOWS 7 or 10
We bought this controller because we wanted to test our gaming rigs. Seen good reviews so we decided to buy to test. Once it arrived we immediately tried to connect to Win 10 and we were having a hard time connecting via USB Bluetooth. Integrated Bluetooth seem to connect fine. With USB Bluetooth, it was asking for pairing code which ASUS Support does not provide and the default "0000" does not work either. Next, once installed and "connected", control gave no response. Connected via Win 7 and same issue. We further researched and found out this was a major problem for these controllers. Nice control but definitely does not support Win 7 or Win 10 as ASUS claims. Seen videos of other users claiming it works but our for sure did not.Read full review

Nice alternative for PC gamers
The Asus game controller set up on my Windows machine with one driver install and has a good feel for those accustomed to an XBox-style control layout. Unlike its Xbox cousin, there doesn’t seem to be a option for vibration, nor does it seem to have a built-in speaker, for those who like their accessories to chirp at them after a successful pairing, or something. Also, I don’t see a way to plug in a headset, as with some other controllers, so bear all that in mind, if force feedback or in-game chat is vitally important to you.
They aren’t so much for me, and I think Asus has got the fundamentals correct here. It’s an economically sound alternative which will be right at home in my gear bag.Read full review

Well built and easy to use
Just because this isn't a PlayStation or Xbox controller doesn't mean it's a bad controller. ADUS is a great brand and this controller is no different. I got it to play steam games on my pc and it works without any problem. $20 for asus vs $60 for a steam controller that you can ONLY use for steam games, you decide lol.Read full review

Doesnt get much better for the price
Aside from analog knob placement these are basically Xbox controllers. They feel solid and great in the hand. Easy to setup and work perfectly. Almost looks like there might be a rechargable battery accessory as well. Definitely recommendRead full review

Works great..... Just 1 complaint.....
The controller works well with about any Bluetooth enabled device. It has good range and the battery life is good. My complaint is that it uses 2 AA batteries. You either need many batteries or some rechargeables which all add to the actual cost of this controller.Read full review

Nice job Asus.
Very easy to set up. Feels nice in the hands. Not entirely fond of the analog sticks in terms of comfort. Overall a good product for its price range. No frills.

This is an amazing controller for your android device.
I love the controller that I actually bought two extra controllers since I plan on buying an extra android box for my kids so they may play video games on their room. I recommend this product to any one. It is very close feeling to the Xbox controller.Read full review

Solid controller for Android gaming.
This bluetooth controller is very similar to an Xbox 360 controller. It is well made and feels solid. The power button can double as a bindable start button in android. There is no rumble but that's okay for my purposes. It uses two AA batteries. The thumb sticks feel good. My only real critique is that the D-Pad isn't the worlds finest but it gets the job done.Read full review

This controller is perfect for Windows PCs and Android.
This is a solid controller that I've owned for a couple years now. It has a very good weight to it and doesn't feel cheap at all. It's very close to an Xbox 360 controller feel but has thumbsticks placed in the PlayStation format which I like best. It's bluetooth so you connect wirelessly and its very responsive. I'm not sure if you can play the same game with more than one of these gamepads but I'm going to buy another to find out.
I've seen other reviews where one person took it how this controller being battery operated over rechargeable is a con. I beg to differ as while rechargeable batteries are convenient, if they mess up you can't simply change it out with ease. Some folks could sure if you find replacement rechargeable battery but most would see it as needing to buy a new controller. Also 2 AAs are not expensive (I use copper tops) and this controller does not eat batteries like candy. Also forgot to mention earlier that this controller will turn itself off without use after awhile saving your batteries.
Now for those having trouble with getting this to work with Windows 10 or any Windows PC for that matter don't worry! Your controller isn't defective, it's just Asus was horrible about instructions on getting it to work. This gamepad was originally made for Asus' nexus player, an android TV gaming system. It wasn't til later they added support for Windows.
To get it working you simply need to get the drivers first and install, then pair your controller. The drivers can be found on Asus website for the controller. Simple google search of "TV500BG Windows 10" should prompt the correct the support page for the driver. Just choose the version of Windows you own and download. Install completely first then try pairing the controller.
I've done this with both built-in bluetooth and bluetooth dongles just fine. And yes I too originally had major issues getting this controller paired at first until I read up about the driver that Asus doesn't really advertise or include with the controller.
So overall it is highly recommended and it's hard to beat the price for such a solid controller!Read full review
