Give this a try, highly recommended!

WD40 plus! A good product which is also economical in use. I can see why his stuff is rapidly gaining popularity in the motorcycling community.

Amazing product, shame its too thick for the spray can.

Great product, stops any rust in its tracks. Used on car and motorbike, any metal, plastics or electrics are fine. Makes it look like showroom condition. However BEWARE, rubbish spray can for the job, its a standard aerosol can, but the mixture is just too thick and so it doesn't spray out. Much better off getting a cheap air mister and the large bottle and spray pack. Its a little bit more pricey but at least you'll get the liquid out. Read full review

The Daddy of them all

ACF-50 sets the standard against which all other corrosion protection and lubricant products are measured.

It certainly isn't the cheapest product on the marketplace, but it is widely recognised as one of the best.

Originally developed for aerospace applications, is reputedly safe to use on all metals and plastics, with a particular emphasis on electrical connectios.

Ideally it should be applied to an absolutely clean and dry surface, the sprayer can be further improved by warming the liquid beforehand in hot water - a little goes a very very long way, and should last around six months.

Even corroded components can be treated and "freed up" but you should seek to avoid lettng your machine get in this condition in the first place!

Were there to be a disadvantage to the product; it remains slightly sticky throught the service life, and ma y therefore attract dirt and grime. Care must be taken to ensure it is not applied to control surfaces ie the seat, handlebars and footpegs of a motorcycle, and it will render disk brakes entirely useless if it is allowed to contaminate surfaces, but by taking simple precautions the rest of our bike will aboid the worst effects of winter.

I would advise applying a generous coat of ACF-50 the moment you take delivery of your bike from the showroom, and not wait untill the bad weather sets in.

You only need to apply once every six months or so, in the meantime I would reccommend water based inhibitors such as Scotoiler FS-365 which, although good in it's own right, is in a different league from ACF-50. Both can be applied without harm.

Every biker should have

Excellent product - use all over bike except tyres brakes obviously. Leaves a lovely filament of protection which resists washes too. Ill be using this all year round too as it just makes washing a doddle.Read full review

Amazing !

I used this on my motorbike as I ride through all weathers. This stuff is brilliant ! You can even spray it on the paint to protect it. To apply it, personally, I found it easier to apply with a quick squirt onto a rag, then apply it. It’s incredibly thick & just leaves a mess if you apply it in any other way. All of the hard to reach areas which usually start showing a little surface rust are no longer a problem, once it’s on it protects straight away. It does attract the dirt as it can be a bit sticky, but cleaning the bike is so much easier, the dirt just falls off where the act 50 has been applied, no more surface rust.
This stuff is used in the aviation industry, but it is so good, the general b public is now getting use of it. I would say that it’s the best product that I have used for anti corrosion. A little bit of this stuff goes a long way.

Works wonders

I have non galvanised hatchback eyebolts securing the lifting struts to the aluminium body of my car. Where the metals meet causes galvanic corrosion. The eyebolts looked so rusty there was a real chance they might snap. A quick blast and wipe of ACF50 not only improved it visually, but appears to have halted further corrosion. Very easy to use, immediate results. Read full review

Excellent product

WD40 on steroids is how I've seen it referred to! I have used it regularly on my boat over many years as a lubricant, penetrating fluid and corrosion prevented and it excels at all of those.

Unbeatable for preservation

This is a fantastic product & I always use it. Not cheap but well worth the money. Used widely in the Aircraft industry too. Great to preserve engine parts & repels water.

Easy to apply and doesn't ruin appearances.

Used on motorbike. This is easy to apply and with a bit of run to it will cover nooks and crannies. You can also complete coverage with a brush. It will need periodically re-doing as the winter progresses. On the plus side this means that when you clean your bike, it gets cleaned. With some longer lasting products, the residue can attract dirt which all gets difficult to shift. A good balance between protection and conserving appearance.Read full review

Restores the colours back to your plastics too - And lasts!

Rub into plastic components and you'll get the new look back very easily. Once rubbed in well with a cloth there's no greasiness, and they'll look that way again for a long, long time. I use it on the black plastic mouldings of my cars (Windscreen wiper arms, surrounds, grilles, rubbing strips, bumper inserts, handles etc) both inside and out. Great stuff.Read full review
