70MHz transverter kit
Been running a Yaesu FT-847 but decided tto try one of the transverter kits as a backup.
The kit arrived pretty quickly (and no duty to be paid), well boxed.
Easy to follow instructions to assemble the kit and plenty of wire/co-ax, though I did use some PTFE co-ax instead.
Unit took no longer than a few hours to assemble and worked first time. Transmit power as described but not had chance to check sensitivty and noise factor yet but looks like they are both close (or better) than specification.
Would I recommend the unit ?, a definate YES to get more activity on the band as most amateurs will have an HF transceiver.

Small, neat, lightweight and good quality
(Re-writing: post failed last time)
I ordered this to allow me to take part in RSGB Activity Contests and go portable in the hills.
The package was smaller and lighter than expected but contained all the parts necessary to get on air quickly.
The boards are small and well-constructed. Read the instructions: they are precise, even if the English is not quite perfect. Before drilling the case for mounting the boards, search the internet for images of completed kits to see the best layout. The length of coax supplied is just enough - no offcuts to discard. The white hook-up wire was not enough for me: the supplier has experience to use the wire efficiently, from constructing many finished transverters. I had only one chance but it was not a problem because I added some red wire for the connection between the power jack, switch and board. This made it easier to follow the wires. The LEDs stick out a long way through the front panel. To set them back, I cut a small piece of dense 3mm thick cardboard and drilled 4.5mm holes in it to use as a spacer, glued to the inside of the front panel. Construction was an enjoyable experience.
I tested into a dummy load, using a Yaesu FT817 with 500mW as the driver. On the Avair meter, the output was measured as 8W. This is close enough to the 10W specification that I have not attempted to adjust the attenuator board yet. Next, I constructed a Moxon rectangle to use as an aerial.
On Thursday 19th April, I used the transverter for the first time. The receiver seemed sensitive and on-air reports were of good audio, though I have not had the chance to check for spectral cleanliness with a station using SDR displays yet (it may limited by the FT817 anyway).
This transverter allowed me to make my first 70MHz SSB contacts without problems. For portable use, this will be perfect because it is small, lightweight and the power output will not drain batteries quickly. I can recommend it to anyone wanting to try 70MHz for the first time.Read full review

Great 28MHz - 70MHz Multi-Mode Transverter Kit (inc Attenuator)
The construction instructions are a little light on detail but a combination of the circuit diagram, the written instructions and pictures from the Transverters Store website eased the process.
>Be careful with the positioning of the main transverter board, too close to the on-off switch and the solder tag on the switch will touch the case of the inductor and create a short circuit. I had to bend the solder tag up and put some tape over the switch to prevent the contact.
Other than that it worked first time which given that I had built it against the clock at 05:00 on the morning of the 4m segment of VHF NFD is quite a feat.
Ensure you get the attenuator board unless you are in a position to be sure that you will only be driving the Transverter with mW of powerRead full review

Great little unit
I have tried this out on air. Works extremely well. I am using this with an Icom IC-703 low power HF transceiver. Only 0.5 Watt of drive required to give 10 Watts output. This is an economical way of getting on 4 metres if you already have an HF radio with 28 MHz. The performance has been found to be very good. Well recommended.Read full review

Very easy to build with step-by-step instructions.
Every part is a high quality. Transverter is also very broadband. It's go easily from 68MHz to 73 MHz, depends how wide open is the transiver.

Very good features and good english help and instructions.
Very good quality and all components are there .
Good build quality I might use slightly better ptfe small coax though.
Highly recommend !!!!
