Not bad for the price
I bought this hoping I could cancel a service light but it didn't but I was glad to see that there were no other problems with my car. It is easy to use and for the price a good piece of kit. You could take your car to a garage and be charged around £30 to have one plugged in.Read full review

Disappointed.
Having watched a YouTube video on how someone connected this device up to their Peugeot 107 and read the relevant codes, I was disappointed when this device failed to do so on mine. The engine management light was in, but no codes were found. Likewise on a VW Passat the management light was on and this device didn’t find any codes. I wonder whether it goes deep enough to locate them. I’ve had to score it low because it didn’t diagnosed the issue I purchased it for. Shame really as it appears a neat piece of kit.Read full review

Every car owner should have an OBD-II
The "check engine light" illuminated on the dashboard of my BMW; I panicked
My local BMW estimated that it would require at least an hour for diagnostics with parts and labour on top to fix; potentially £££'s
The OBD-II within seconds identified error code P0101.
Code P0101 is set when the signal from the mass airflow sensor is out of expected range, or in other words, the MAF sensor doesn't work properly.
"youtube" described the work required. A trip to my auto centre to purchase a tin of "Mass Airflow sensor Cleaner" spray and 10 minutes cleaning fixed my car. Total cost to fix £20; a result!

Buy one!!
Long time car guy who got sick of paying garage bills to sort engine management light. Very easy to use. Now i can personally check fault codes & rectify plus it shows real time data. Already paid for itself!! Should have bought it years ago.Read full review

Handy to have
This reader is a basic code reader/fault remover and live reader handy to keep under the seat or glove box incase that annoying mil comes on.. I was paying £30 a time from the local machanic before buying this and so far this has more than paid for itself. Just plug it on find your car make and click read then Google the code to remove the code click erase. You don't need to be a machanic to use the machine either and will save time and money in the long run Read full review

Cheap n cheerful.
Works great on my 2005 diesel civic. It doesn't have a massive database of cars to tell you the exact problem but it will give you the fault code which you can then look up on the internet. That's better than they managed at Kwik Fit with a device that cost £500 more than this one. And it doesn't need batteries ever!
This thing is such good value I'd recommend you buy one even if there's nothing wrong with your car. Keep it in the glovebox with your atlas and ice scraper cos it's essential for any modern vehicle.Read full review

Value saving kit
Received a day after I'd ordered with instructions easy to use and I'm sure it has saved me a small fortune with what a garage would have charged me, an essential piece of kit would highly recommend.
