Green Laser 1mW 532nm Review
I'm a Development Test Engineer by day and a hobbyist by night.
I was interested in getting another laser pointer to trigger a DSLR camera at a long range...
The construction is very good and has a nice weight to it.
It is also very cheap to purchase and it is accessable to everyone.
I have this 5*'s but I have also stated that I would not recommend this to everyone. This would be young children as this is definitely not a toy!
A key lock laser that states it can burn and set fire to matches is not a 1mW laser!
I had a charged 18650 battery to hand and inserted it. The beam is blinding and I do mean blinding. When using this thing at night it just cuts through the skies and just keeps on going.
Playing about may be fun but any aircraft or helicopters this pointer hits will be noticed especially if it's a Police helicopter.
I took this to work to run a test in our laser lab area. I was really surprised that this thing gives out 62mW of green laser light but more worryingly... It was outputting a massive 192 mW of infrared @ 1040nm and is inviable to the naked eye. This is unfiltered to save a few pennies and both these wavelengths can do a great deal of damage to the eye. Your eyes can't react fast enough to the beam in most instances and you won't know anything about the infrared is emitting. This is a Class 3B product, it's also considered as a weapon.
As an experiment, I also bought to more 1mW lasers from different sellers. These use the same leader module and have the same output levels.
Let's face it, to get passed the eBay regulations of these devices, just state they are all 1mW, now you can sell them.
But please, anyone buying these, be careful and DON'T give them to the kids.

Very powerful laser.
Very powerful laser, not quite as powerful as 1 that my friend bought from elsewhere cheaper though but I am happy with item. Don't expect this to light a match though as mine doesn't

Awesome but doesn’t come with battery
Item itself is practically perfect, only negative is it doesn’t come with a battery or battery charge (which are quite expensive). I found a charger and battery for about £27 (one of the cheapest options). Overall it’s great, got an amazing range and fun playing around with the different modes (beam size, scattered points....)Read full review

Simple but effective
This is a great little laser, a lot of fun for very little money £6.18 is what I paid plus a few pounds for the special batteries which are very effective. One thing that briefly foxed me, the battery goes in the opposite way you would expect, so I briefly thought it was a dud.Read full review
