Making / changing from 3 pin to 4

Remember if your swapping a 3 pin to a 4 then you need to have 1 of the small terminals to the body ( earth ) . Earthing the solenoid won’t work.It doesn’t matter which terminal. The other is the ignition live… once i fig’d this out, started right away… KRead full review

Replacement solenoid

Bought this for my Westwood 1010. Not quite the same connections, but not hard to work out how to connect. So no not direct replacement but fits and works. Very pleased, would recommend.

In reality this kind of product cannot be fully rated until it's given a decent period of service. Having said that it fitted perfectly, although the poles are larger in diameter than the original equipment have no fear the original connectors are large enough for fitment without modification.
