Keeps tank clean!
I use these Aqueon "L" filter cartridges for my two Aqueon 55/75 filters. They do a great job of keeping the tank water sparkling clean. Not only is the water clean, but there is never any unpleasant fish odor. Each of the filters requires 2 cartridges so whenever I find a good deal, I purchase a box of cartridges. The cartridges are easy to install and come ready to place into the cartridge holster.

Quiet motor but noisy water flow.
bought this pump to add more filtration to my 120 gallon tank. It works good the pump motor is quiet BUT the water running through the pump is way noisy. My family was complaining about how loud the noise was before I added the filter sponge as a sound baffle to reduce the splashing sound in the pump. Definitely not a "Quietflow".
My 30 year old Magnum 350 canister filter is so much more quiet.

Aqueon Quietflow 55/75 Filter
This is the most powerful filter you can get from Aqueon. I can fit any tall 20 gallon tanks and any other tank bigger than 20 gallons. It uses 2 large filter cartridges, it brings 2 of these. This filter pulls 400 gph, good for up to 90 gallons tank. I do not recommend this filter for a tank less than 20 gallons. It brings an adjustable tube and the smallest adjustable size will barely fit a 20 gallon tank (tall and large). It is very big the filter is 12" inches = 1' foot in length and 6" inches wide.
I use this filter with 2 (10) gallon air pump filters on the bottom of a 20 gallon tank.Read full review

An excellent Power filter
I ordered this filter to replace a smaller version that bit the dirt!
This is an overly powerful filter for my situation. I placed it on a Thirty Gallon Aquarium.

Very Happy With Filter
I have this filter in my 75G freshwater tank. I have goldfish, an oscar, plecos and live plants in this tank. I use bioballs in the filter area which keep my heavy bioload at bay. I also use 2 chemipures and still have room for a fluval cannister charcoal... Plenty of room for customizing this filter. Cartridges keep my water crystal clear and the filter grate is easy to clean. Has worked for 4 months now, no issues at all and very happy & healthy fish.Read full review

Not great for tanks under 24 inches tall with sand bottom.
This may be a great item with gravel, but with sand it sucks...literally...sucks sand into the motor and stops working. A grain of sand can stop this motor. Nothing better than checking your HOB's more than your fish. I rush home everyday from work worried the pumps stopped or my fish are dead. I have two on a 55gal. Well for a couple more days until my Sunsun comes in and I can sleep easy again. If you're going to use sand get a canister. The pumps work for maybe 8 to 12 hours before I have to take them apart and remove a grain of sand and get them started again. So far one usually is working while the other is not. With the 70 bucks I paid for 2 if these not to mention filter pads I could have had a nice canister on this tank. Spend the 50 bucks and get a canister with uv light instead and save yourself the stress I've had with theses over the last three weeks.Read full review

Aqueon back filter
This back filter has really good flow but it is not a quiet filter as claimed, in fact it is pretty loud. Fortunately it's in my front room so can't hear it that much in my bedroom when sleeping.
