Smartphone Inc Game - Arcane Wonders

Just a really good fun game.

What to say. This is a great board game.
The good elements are the simplicity of the "complex" play. Because its split into simple phases and only 5 rounds. This doesnt sound like enough time to be fun, but it does work really well. By the 3rd round, the phases are getting intense, and people are vying to control regions of the world with their mobile phone company as well as trying to balance their research and logistics.

This game is a real strategy game, but it has a broad game appeal - everyone knows the terms used in the game, so it feels familiar and friendly (until people steal your region). I suspect some people may not like it because it really is about running a mobile phone company (from a very high level) and trying to dominate markets. So it may have limited appeal.

But in my opinion, this game is alot like Monopoly on a "game scale" level. It feels easy to do and easy to get into and once everyone has played once, its very much "oh can we do that again, I think I want to try something different.".
