I have hundreds original movie posters sourced from my family’s picture theatre, Ca’d’or Cinema, which operated in Five Dock in the inner west of Sydney from 1975 to 1983. Most of the posters I am selling were printed for Australian cinemas, though there are some exceptions. The posters were originally distributed to us folded, so the fold lines are still evident. Most were used on display boards at the cinema but some were never used. Generally, they are in very good condition, however, I have described the condition of each poster. The theatre was originally the Victory Cinema which opened in 1925 and closed in 1959 when it became the Ca’d'Or wedding reception centre until 1975 when it was re-converted to a cinema. After the cinema closed in 1983 it had several different occupants the last being The Christian Life Centre. It was demolished in 2020 to build apartments.
