More about the headphones themselves, which are perfectly good for my purposes and the price I paid for them I feel was good value. They arrived well packaged in environmentally aware packaging (not one bit of plastic which I value. The item is in great condition and functions as they should. Furthermore, their follow up contact requesting feedback was nicely worded and framed: an invitation. Not pushy. I liked that.

    Based on the seller's description, I negotiated a very good price as I thought I would have to buy parts and troubleshoot the electronics to get the analyzer's display to work. The HP8590B arrived DHL the next day, incredibly well packaged and in excellent condition. Seller described it as having dings and scuffs from use, and yes it has a few minor battle scars & needs a good clean. That's OK. Powered it up, no display. I then turned up the illumination and it worked like a charm. I got lucky.
