Welcome to my eBay Shop.
I have been dealing in antiques for over 30 years, my special interest being books, maps, prints and artwork. My particular interest is in Scotland, and in 2022, Whittles published my book "The Immeasurable Wilds" which concentrates on the far north - Sutherland and Ross-shire in particular. I was interested in who went there, and how they got there when access was so difficult, even in the 19th century, and most of the illustrations are from my collection.
As a professional musician in a previous life, I also have a soft spot for Victorian Illustrated Music Covers, which display not only energetic artwork, but also wonderful early colour printing. Finally, I should mention my interest in antique caricatures, which seem to me to be a fun way of exploring history.

Very well packed. Very beautiful book. The only bad experience was the huge amount of import-tax I had to pay by receiving the package: more than 30 euro's! These import taxes are really devastating for international buying and selling things oversea. I am thinking stopping buying things outside the European Union, because it's really getting too expensive in this way... But the seller can't do a thing about this problem (maybe only not telling the true value), so I don't blame him of course.

Thank you for your feedback, which is very fair. I am so sorry you have to pay so much import duty. The problem for ebay, and sellers, is that the duty varies from country to country, and so cannot be included in the listing. I am glad you are pleased with the book, anyway. Alastair
