This Ravelli Tripod with pistol-grip head is optimal for high-end photography and video equipment. The Ravelli APGL4 is constructed of a pressure treated aluminum alloy for maximum stability and durability. The legs of the Ravelli Tripod can be inverted to achieve low-angle and ground level shots. Each leg is capped at the bottom with removable rubber feet and steel spikes for improved stability on any terrain. When the Ravelli APGL4 is extended to the maximum height the legs will allow, it stands 69.7 inches high. When the Ravelli Tripod is folded for storage or travel, it measures 32.7 inches in length. The unit itself weighs 8 lbs and has a maximum load capacity of 16 lbs of equipment. The supplied pistol-grip head allows for fluid adjustment of the attached camera to any angle, with an ergonomic design for comfort. Releasing the trigger will lock the head in place. Ravelli APGL4
This my first "real" pro tripod. others I've had were quite flimsy and not stable for a full size DSLR with a larger lens attached.. There was some comments regarding a "smell" from the case and yes there is some funky odor of some kind. I am going to try a Lysol was and see how it helps. The tripod itself is very stable and provides a versatile photo mount system. The leg extension clasps are tight, the mount plates for the camera are functional and the adjustable foot pads work well, changing from rubber pad to spikes is easy. This is a bit heavy (adding to its stability but may not be the most useful if planning to do any hiking or remote nature photography weighing in at about 8#, plus the head at about 10#.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
