Suited to Nikonfs DX format sensors, it produces a broad picture angle which approximates the perspective of a 27-157.5mm lens on a 35mm-format film camera or Nikonfs FX format digital SLR systems. Vibration Reduction is within to assure sharper handheld shots and makes shooting possible at shutter speeds up to three stops slower than would otherwise be possible. High performance optical system featuring an ED glass element and an aspherical lens element realizes superior image reproduction capability. This lens is made in China under the supervision of Nikon, but in saying that and the cheaper production methods the lens is amazing, the sharpness is as good as lenses that cost three time that much, it really is a sharp lens with very good definition of image, it also has the VR control that can provide extra stops for hand held photography, but it is not necessary as the cameras produce excellent quality even at high ISO, the macro facility is excellent as is the manual focus ring, it produces good close up images, all in all a truly excellent lens for the money.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
