LEGOS: Building more than the package.

I bought this book for my 9 year old grandson. He is thrilled with it. He couldn't wait to get out his old, boring Legos and get started. The Legos box always comes with directions but after you build the same car, rocket or scene several times, they just get dumped in a big box. Now, he is building something new every day. And thinking of other ways to expand. He has the blocks sorted by size, shape, type do he can quickly work on a design. Great book, great ideas, great teaching tool.

    Lego book

Really hard to follow. My 12 year old didn't find it helpful at all.

  • Great book with many ideas.

It was given as a gift to my 7 year old great nephew. Glancing through it I felt it may be a little old for him but I wrote in it that "I hope you get many years of enjoyment and ideas from this book." It will be something he can refer to for many many years.

  • Home School Hero

6 year old: Able to read some of the material. Likes to study details (100s) of pages of creations. Able to recreate creations from own collection of legos. Book is part reading made fun part inspirational guide part lego encyclopedia. Does not include step by step instructions like the lego set booklets.

  • Lego Ideas Book at a good value

I purchased the Lego Ideas Book at a good value (50% off) as a gift for my 11 year old cousin. When he opened it, he couldn't resist looking at it and it held his attention for quite a while. I think he will enjoy looking at all the possible things that he can imagine and build for a long time. I would definitely recommend this book to Lego Lovers everywhere!

  • Looked good

Since our box of Legos is 30+ years old and I didn't realize how much they had changed, this beautiful book of ideas didn't work for us. Since I paid about 1/3 of the regular cost, I had no problem donating it to our library.

  • Book was in great shape but the contents weren’t detailed enough for me

I was hoping for simpler basic builds for beginners to give my 7 year old nephew a basis for learning. There aren’t any step by step instructions, just a couple of hints how to get there. “Stimulate the mind” mentality. I need more help before my brain can take over! LOL

  • Lego Idea Book

Great book of ideas for using Legos. Lots of pieces would be needed to fully utilize the book but it certainly leaves you with many possibilities in using whatever pieces you now have.

  • Not enough information

i Thought this book would be more instructional. Instead it only provided one dimensional pictures of complex projects. This is not good for a seven year old.
