The PreSonus StudioLive 24.4.2 Digital Pro Audio Mixer is designed for both live performance mixing and studio recording. This digital mixer has 24 mic/line inputs with high headroom class A XMAX mic preamps. In addition to having 24 input channels, the PreSonus StudioLive 24.4.2 features four subgroups and 10 auxiliary mix capability. This gives mixers a wide range of control. There are also a number of options for output. The digital mixer has a stereo / mono main out, and a 32 in, 26 out Firewire digital interface that operates at 24-bit and 48kHz. The PreSonus StudioLive 24.4.2 Digital pro audio mixer comes with Studio One digital audio workstation software, and Capture 1.1 software for both PC and Mac. Studio One software can record 24-bit or 32-bit resolution at speeds up to 48kHz. The software allows the user to monitor and control mixer effects, check recording status, adjust mix equalization sound, and monitor outputs without ever touching the hardware gear. The mic input channel has +48V phantom power that can be switched on for condenser microphones or switched off for powered mics. Each fader has 100mm of travel and the PreSonus StudioLive digital mixer also provides easy live monitoring of individual channel sound levels and effects with 15-LED ladder metering and clip indicating LED lights. There are also lighted solo and mute buttons, so that the user always knows what is in, out, or being focused on with a glance. In addition, each of the four subgroup buses has its own solo and mute buttons, which speeds up changes made to groups on the fly. The master section has an auxiliary input A and B, level control and select switch, mic level control, a talk button, and an output selector. PreSonus StudioLive 24.4.2 digital mixers have two internal digital effects processors, and each processor has 50 customizable reverb and delay presets. The presets as well as any custom effects can be adjusted with a 31-band equalizer that is assignable in four stereo pairs. Effects can also be operated in mono and sent to the main outs, auxiliary outputs, or subgroup outs. Once assigned, effects can be given custom names, and there is even a lockout mode to keep unauthorized hands from making unwanted changes. The 24 main inputs, 10 aux sends, and Firewire connectivity create the ability for the PreSonus StudioLive 24.4.2 to use a large number of accessories. The accessories used can be monitored with the mixer’s pre-dynamics/pre-fader input metering system and, if a previous version of a track’s volume adjustment sounded better, the fader position recall can undo the changes and reset the fader with the touch of a button. The pro audio nature of this mixer is reflected in the XLR outputs. There is a mono XLR output for connecting the entire show to a subwoofer or sub pre-amp, and there is a L/R XLR stereo main out that can be routed to either a system of powered speakers, or any pre-amp, crossover, or amplifier. What you can't do!
This is one of the best mixers on the market. Once you learn it it you can't beat the sound you can get. Clear and with the instance recall you can't mess it up. I bought this for our church since we use so many sound people we can always put it back to the regular setting that was use using one push of a button. It could use some better FX but that a easy add on. If you can go for the newer Al series with it own WiFi.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
