Dirt to Daytona expands upon the groundwork established in NASCAR Heat 2002 by incorporating a new Career Mode where players climb the ladder from a rookie racing on lowly dirt tracks to a pro competing in the prestigious NASCAR Winston Cup. In total, each career spans four distinct NASCAR leagues, including the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Winning races not only improves a player's standings but also increases the likelihood of attaining a sponsorship. The extra money earned from sponsors can be used to upgrade one of 100 different vehicle parts. <br><br>In addition to the Career Mode, players can embark on a Single Race, Season, Beat the Heat, Head-to-Head, and Pro Trainer. Thirty-one tracks are included as players prepare to race amidst a full 43-car field. The damage model has been enhanced from the previous game, allowing for more realistic tire rubbing, collisions (even 20-car pileups), and sparks while jostling for first place. Over 20 minutes of video footage is included as well as tips from 25 pros in the Pro Trainer mode, where players learn from the experts on how to approach a specific track. Fun times with cheat codes
I put countless hours playing Nascar Heat on the original xbox. It is a really fun game, especially with the cheats like shooting paintballs. The same developer made Dirt to Daytona for gamecube and I'm pleased to tell y'all that it is just as fun if not better. You can unlock the same cheats and shoot mortars or paintballs. Nice game! Has 4 different NASCAR Series (Dirt racing, modifieds, trucks, and the Cup series. It has nice physics and handles well, Graphics are good for Gamecube as well, has a LOT of drivers, Mostly real, some fictional, No Pocono or Chicagoland sadly but that don't matter to me.
