    A good, general wireless router with lots of options.

    The TP-Link TL-WR841N is a good, all-purpose wireless router with plenty of versatility built in. As this product is reaching the end of its production life, there are plenty of deals out there. What you get is a decent home wireless solution for a reasonable price. As such, though, it doesn't have the features of a new router (with the options for hiving, etc.) but it can do wireless pass through and has various VPN and firewall options. It is very capable and a good option for wireless networking on a budget.

    4 CAT-5 ports and strong WiFi - but stopped working after 14 months use

    I needed 4 ports in addition to the uplink and this was one of the few that provided that many nowadays. The WiFi is quite strong and gives good coverage throughout the house and even into the garden - I no longer need my WiFi repeater. It was easy to set up and the web based interface is easy to use and quite powerful. Update: downgraded to 1 start after it completely stopped working after 14 months use

    Wi-Fi router

    It is so easy to set up and get working , has a good online support . Been working for a couple of weeks without any problems what so ever . The signal strength is very impressive and has actually meant I could stop using a couple of mini boosters I had had to with my BT Wi-Fi . No issues , no problems .The best money you could spend , I know it’s cheap but that doesn’t reflect the quality at all . 100% satisfied.

    Superb piece of kit with easy setup.

    After experiencing annoying dropped connections with my Virgin Media super hub, I put it into modem only mode, and installed this TL-WR841N router in its place as a wireless only router.     Good basic multi-function wireless router with wired network ports.

    This is a straightforward, neat-looking wireless N router, which includes four wired network outlets. I used it to replace an aged, slow and underpowered Belkin wireless router, which it did perfectly at very reasonable cost. The included leaflet only gives basic set-ups but logging into the set-up screen to change everything to exactly what you want is not difficult, especially as there are help texts on-screen.

    Extra functions superb value

    The stock Firmware allows several higher level functions normally reserved for routers that are six times the price. Obviously it's wifi and lan speeds aren't as fast as leading edge routers but it's a darn good domestic one. V11 will even accept homebrew firmware with a little protest so I'm told.

    Great as an access point. Not sure I would use as main house router.

    I bought this router as an access point off a wired connection from my main router. If you have a small flat , with not many people connecting, this may be suitable as a main router for you. Easy to set up; easy to change into an access point. Be warned, the default passwords are appallingly simple, change as soon as possible!
